Moving Along With The Fashion Times

Good morning to you all and thanks for dropping by today.
Its challenge time again over at Moving Along With The Times  It's my 2nd week with those fabulous girls and this week Pami has chosen the theme of 'Fashion' (Shoe shopping is a close 2nd to craft shopping!) We are sponsored this week by Crafty Emma's

My card was created using Beatrix's sketch over at Friday Sketchers and one of my many many many Bella's that have never been used! I don't know why I haven't used them cos I adore them - but maybe now I'm blogging they will all get out to play!
My DP's are from Making Memories, the flowers are a mix between Wiild Orchid, Prima and my stash, the sentiment is a rub on from Papermania (which I broke if you look too close!) and all the other bits are from my stash.
Head over to Moving Along With The Times and check out what the talented Design Team of Hazel, Brenda, Lisa and Pami have created and join us in the challenge of 'Fashion'

Thanks for looking - Love Laurie x

Lili's Little Man

Hello again and thank you for visiting me. Today I want to share with you my card for the Lili Of The Valley Challenge which has a theme of 'Favourite Colours' I'm so far behind I didn't think I was going to catch up in time to enter this week!
Those of you who have been here before will recognise my favourite paper - Making Memories Cosmopolitian (I have both combinations, blue & brown and pink & brown) and I love both equally!

This little man is soooooo cute, he reminds me of when we first took our son to play rugby on Sunday mornings over 18 years ago.
Fab n Funky have a 'Recipe' theme this week of 1 image, 2 embellishments (buttons & twine) and 3 papers, and Simon Says Stamps are asking for 'Coffee & Cream'. Cute Card Thursday want to see 'Shiny, Happy Cards' and I hope my buttons are shiny enough for them! A Spoonfull Of Sugar are celebrating 'Birthday Wishes' and Crafty Catz are looking for 'One For The Men' I hope that includes little men!!

The image and sentiment are LOTV, papers as I said above Making Memories, Twine is from Wild Orchid Crafts and buttons are from stash.

Spring Is InThe Air

Morning everyone and happy Tuesday to you all.

It's Guest Designer time for me again over at Oldie But A Goodie and this week 'Spring Is In The Air' I hope you all have a chance to check out their challenges, you'll soon be dusting off your favourite forgotten stamps and joining in the fun. Be sure to check out their fabulous DT's blogs for some brilliant idea's.

Once again I have used a stamp (Tilda as a Bunny from Magnolia) that I have never used before, she has sat uninked for almost a year now!  You can't see it on this picture but I cut Tilda out and she is mounted on a tiny spring and she wobbles when you touch her! Thought I'd take the 'spring' literally!!
Magnolia Stamp Lovers  have a 'Pastels' theme this week, if you haven't been over there for a while you should check out the new blog makeover it's looking really FAB. This is aslo my 3rd and final entry into the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge with the 'Squares' theme.

The beautiful daffodils are from Wild Orchid Crafts, the satin ribbon from the Ribbon Girl, I used my Nesties and a Martha Stewart border punch everything else is from my stash.

Thanks for visiting, remember, please leave a trace so I can visit you

Totally Edwin

Good morning everyone I hope you are all well today, thank you for stopping by my little blog. Today I want to share with you a card I made for the Totally Tilda challenge 'How Does Your Garden Grow?' I wasn't sure if only Edwin was allowed so, to cover myself on that I added Tilda as a butterfly!

I have used my fabulous, favourite, fantastic 'Fairy Flora' paper pad from Prima (thats a bit of a tongue twister for a monday morning!) and I have distressed it to within an inch of its life to qualify for the challenge over at Magnolia Down Under. The colours on these papers are so lovely I'm only bringing myself to use it because I bought two pads! Bunny Zoes Craft challenge want to see 'Spring Flowers Everywhere' Magnolia-licious Highlites are having a brilliant Blog Hop involving Mini Tilda's & a Spring theme which you should all check out they have an amazing DT. All That Scraps Magnolia Challenge 'Birthday' theme is still on  (this is my 2nd & last entry)
7 Kids College Fund  theme of 'Squares' is still running and this is my entry No. 2 of the maximum 3.
I have used Edwin catching Butterflys and Love Fence Doo Hickey Die both from Magnolia, I painted the fence with Antique Linen Crackle Paint, the flowers are from Magnolia and Wild Orchid, the Butterfly is from Craft Essential and the image was coloured with Aqua Markers which I got from Joanna Sheen. It was the first time I have used them - I have a long way to go to master them!!

Thanks for looking especially to those of you that leave a comment and make my day!! I got 30 comments the other week and I was beside myself with joy!! Simple things - please simple minds!!

Moving Along With A Gift Bag

Morning everyone and thank you for dropping by. Today is my first day as a member of the Design Team at Moving Along With The Times  I'm filling in as they are a bit short for the next month or so and I'm very pleased to joining such a great bunch of girls. Boy was I out of my comfort zone with 'Something for a Girl But Not A Card' I thought my DT spell was gonna be over before it began!! But once I actually got down to thinking outside of the box (or card!) it was fun.
This weeks challenge is set by Brenda and sponsored by Digi Stamp company Robyns Fetish  and I used the fabulous Daisy Days image to create my 'Gift Bag'.
The paper is DCWV from one of their stacks (sorry I can't remember which one) and I coloured my image in to match with copic markers, some punched flowers, a few sticky gems, a feather and a Magnolia Doo Hickey tag later - Voilá - panic over!

Head over to MAWTT and check out the fabulous Design Team of Hazel, Brenda, Lisa, Pami and Shell and don't forget - Think out side the card!

I am entering this into the following challenges
Ladybugs Crafts Ink - Anything But A Card
A Spoonful Of Sugar - Anything But A Card
C.R.A.F.T. Challenge  - Anything But A Card

Thanks for looking

A Hearty Challenge

Good morning fellow bloggers I hope this dull, damp and miserable morning finds you all well and if you're only half as cheerful as I am today you'll be OK!
First I would like to thank you all for the comments you left, I've never had so many and you all make my day - everyday! And I'm so very grateful to those of you that follow me - I've started to amass some blog candy ready for when I hit a certain number.
I've been busily beavering away making 75 menu's, 150 place cards and wrapping 75 gifts with curly ribbon (it wouldn't have been so bad if I started sooner - but I was too busy blogging!!) ready for Saturday evening, and I finished last night with enough time to make a card using my favourite 'Tilda's' for the  challenge over at  Just Magnolia - Anything Goes with an option of ribbons.

Magnolia-licious  have a great 'Recipe' challenge for February - its very girly and pretty with 'Hearts, Pink, Silver & White' It was difficult to photograph with the silver reflecting everywhere but at least you can see which bits are silver!
Magnolia Down Under  want to see some 'Love' this week.
Cute Card Thursday have asked for "Hearts & Flowers' this week and this has plenty of both! I can't believe I actually used one of my precious crystal flowers for this card
This is my 2nd card this fortnight that fits into Totally Tilda 'Lots of Hearts' challenge and All That Scraps Magnolia Challenge 'Queen of Hearts'.
7 Kids College Fund  want 'I Heart You' and Fab 'n' Funky want to see 'Tempting Texture' on your cards. Over at Stamptacular Sunday  'Hearts Gone Wild' is what is required his week and Bunny Zoes Crafts still have "Love Is in the Air' and Pink Elephant are still looking for someone to 'Be My Valentine'Lets Lets Ink It Up have a 'Romance/Valentine' theme this month.

Hello all and thank you again for visiting. Today I want to share with you a family photo - LOL - not really but maybe one day!

This pair are really stuck in the 70's and I wanted to use really retro paper to match that and my DCWV retro pad was perfect for what I had in mind.
Cute Card Thursday wanted us to 'Banish The Blues' and add some humour and I have loads of these Art Impression stamps unikned in my drawer so I was chuffed to bits to have to finally use one!
Mandy at Pink Gem provided the sketch which I got my Magnolia Doo Hickey doiley die out for (That was a tongue twister!)

Following Corry

Hello again and thank you for visiting. I've titled this post 'Following Corry' because I was checking out out her blog Free 4 Ever the other day and she had made the most amazing card all in white and I knew I had to try that, so thank you Corry for being an inspiration!!

I had been itching to get my hands on some new Mini World Magnolia's and couldn't wait till they were released here in the UK so I ordered some from Diana at Magnolia-licious - they arrived just as quick as anything I've ordered in the UK and there was allsorts of freebies thrown in the parcel too! Many thanks to everyone there.
Now, my photography skills are rubbish! The heart at the bottom is bright red glitter but it looks at bit dull on this pic and the sun was a nightmare throwing shadows everywhere!
Magnolia Down Under are asking that we use 'Embossing' on our cards this week so out came the Cuttlebug. (Thinking of you Guys down under with the cyclone xx)
Totally Tilda want to see "Tilda With Lots Of Hearts' so I decided to make these the only colourful part of my card, apart from little Tilda that is.
All That Scraps Magnolia Challenge has a theme 'Queen Of Hearts' so we qualify for that one and the whole card was created from a sketch by Lynn for Cute Card Thursday.
Over at Simon Says Stamps this week 'Love Is In The Air'
ABC Challenge  have asked us to use 'Nesties' this week on our cards.
I used Shy Tilda from the Mini World Collection and a Doo Hickey Swirl Die, Nestabilities, 2 Cuttlebug embossing folders and everything else was from my stash.
Thanks again for looking - don't forget to leave a trace x Laurie x

I just found out that I won the challenge for my Blowing Kisses Tilda over at Sarah Hurley wayheeyy and thanks or choosing me! I could get used to this!!!
