Make It Sparkle @ Diva's

Morning lovely peeps, hope you're all well. My is this year flying by or what? 2 days left in February, I can hardly believe it! (mind you I am scheduling this post so maybe I'm getting ahead of myself LOL).  I should be living in a building site as the work was due to start Monday, I'll keep you updated as and when anything exciting happens!

Today I'm here with a new challenge at

DIVA'S BY DESIGN

and this week Rebekah wants us to

Make It Sparkle

Well not that you can really tell from this picture but my card does sparkle quite a bit, mind you its not the same colour in real life as this photograph. It was a dull old day when I took it maybe I should retake it?
The papers are from a First Edition pad Noir Et Chic and they are sparkly, they are also much creamier in colour than they look here,  I glamour dusted the wings of this uber cute Sugar Nellie fairy Pippi Longsocks I think she's called. The little black 18 is also glitter, its actually a peel off LOL long time since I used one of them.

We have a fabulous new sponsor who I was lucky to meet on holiday
last year (hello Mark and Mel did you miss me this year? lol)

Please pop over and check out their store they have lots of gorgeous stash including the First Edition paper pads and the super shimmery organza ribbon I've used.
When your all shopped out there pop over to Diva's challenge blog to check out all the sparkly inspiration from my teammies this week, you might need your sunglasses to catch the glare!

That's it from me I hope to be back with a little extra make I intend on sneaking in that I'm making just for fun, a rare but pleasurable occurrence lol

Spring @ Totally PaperCrafts

A very good morning to you all, I hope you are all surviving the weather (and for those of you with young children) the half term holidays! It's very quiet here as we still haven't managed to get our business back up and running since the flood before Christmas so no work again during the holidays.
All the peace and quiet is due to come to an end as the builder is starting on Monday (fingers crossed he turns up). It's a bit exciting choosing everything but I'm so indecisive lately it could turn into a nightmare!!

I'm here today to let you know about a new challenge at

TOTALLY PAPERCRAFTS

and this week it seems

Spring

has arrived (maybe a little early as I'm looking out my window whilst scheduling this post!) We can but hope it warms up QUICK!!
Here is my card, I went for soft spring pastels as my interpretation and tulips in my flowers

I'm trying to fit my DT work with cards I need at the minute and I needed an 18th birthday card for my friends daughter, I might just add her name to this before I send it. The Saturated Canary image has been coloured in on my desk for almost a year and luckily I found some papers that matched up lovely from a LOTV Nitwits pad I've also had for ages. I usually like to colour my image after I've chosen the papers and I don't know why I didn't this time!! I cut the 18 out with my Cricut (think I've used it about 3 times now, see I knew I NEEDED it!).  There's a tiny little key charm hanging from the organza bow too.

We have a fabulous sponsor this week

Head over to the main challenge blog for all the details and some beautiful spring time inspiration from my teammies too.

That's all from me today, thank you for stopping by and looking and for any comments you may leave too. Have a super weekend I'm away again at my Mums.

Sketchie Time @ MAWTT

Good morning good people I hope the world finds you well, I seem to be in a jolly good mood for some unknown reason (at least I was when I was writing this - scheduled again) I hope it's lasted!!

Time for a brand new challenge at

MOVING ALONG WITH THE TIMES

and this week the big boss Hazel has given us a

Sketch

to follow. It's ages since I followed a sketch, I do love a good sketch especially when my mojo goes missing, its just what I need to get me back on the creative path!

Here's the sketch

and here's my take on it.
A little different again from me - no flowers in sight lol. I'm not sure how I feel about this card, I had all these elements that went together but I'm not sure I like them together if that makes sense? I loved this Saturated Canary 'Usherette' image when I bought it but I've found it really difficult to use. I don't know if you can see it very well but I cut my Tim Holtz on the edge star die out of silver mirri card and also the sizzix film strip has been backed with acetate film. I suppose it hasn't photographed too well either but even in real life I'm not too sure!

Head over to the main challenge blog for all the details of the challenge, there is also a little prize up for grabs this week and some gorgeous inspiration from my talented teammies.

That's it from me today, I'll be back tomorrow

With Love @ Diva's

Good morning lovely peeps hopefully you are reading this, as it is another scheduled post, and I am off to the bright lights and big city of London yet again for part two of my Christmas present from my friend, another musical, this time its The Commitments. I loved the film so I'm sure I will the stage show, all I have to do this time is try to stay awake LOL as I did have a little nap during The Bodyguard a couple of weeks ago!

The reason for my visit today is the start of a new challenge at

DIVA'S BY DESIGN

and this week the very talented Rebekah has chosen

With Love

As I don't really need any valentine cards I went with a wedding theme, I've a couple of orders to make so here is the first. I can't take any credit for this as my lovely teammie Sharon gave me inspiration for this when she first used these two stamps together HERE

I never tire of this beautiful LOTV stamp, and I say that after using it 150 times for my Nephews wedding invitations some of you may remember! I absolutely adore it teamed up with the fantastic Magnolia Love Heart background stamp (which I got from Sir Stampalot and the Doo Hickey heart border die and swirl was from there too). The papers are Bo Bunny Isabella and they are soooooooooo pretty, most of my pad has gone now, well all my favourite sheets anyway!!
Coloured with Copics, flowers, feathers and beads things from everywhere, pink lace from the Ribbon Girl, the sparkly heart buttons I've had for ages and the organza ribbon is from this weeks sponsor

Head over to the Diva's challenge blog for all the details of the super prize on offer and lots of luscious Love creations from my super talented teammies.

That's all from me, I'm going to be singing 'mustang sally' well into the small hours and god help anyone who sits near me on the train on the way home LOL I'm tone deaf!
My little boy (24 years old but still my baby) arrives home today from his trip to Japan to see his twin sister who's there for 6 months, it's been so quiet without him here I can't wait to see him, I might have to wake him up if he's asleep when I get back from London!

Thank you for stopping by and for any lovely comments you leave, they really do make my day.

Hey Cutie a New DT for Me!

Hello peeps I'm back with my good news, I got a new job!!
I start a brand new 6 month stint on the fabulous Design Team at

TOTALLY PAPERCRAFTS

I'm excited can you tell?
I thought it was time for me to push the boat out
and make more than one card a week for a while lol, I hope I can keep up!!
I'm starting off with a super theme

Hey Cutie!

Here's my first official offering as a shiny new Totally PaperCrafts DT member!

I've had this little Mo Manning cutie coloured in and sat on my desk for so long she's virtually a teenager now! The fab Echo Park papers are fairly new even though I'm not supposed to be buying any more papers LOL and the thing I'm most pleased with, is the sentiment. I couldn't find the right one anywhere so I made my own on the PC and I'm chuffed to bits how it turned out. If I can work out how to do it, I'll happily email it to anyone who wants it. The flowers are my favorite things dies with brads in the centre.

We have a fabulous sponsor this week
Head over to the main challenge blog for all the details of the challenge, the fantastic prize on offer and lots of super cute inspiration from my new teammies.

That's it from me this week, 2 cards in consecutive days means I need a lie down!!
Thank you for stopping by and for all your lovely comments.
My recovery continues and I should be back fighting fit really soon.

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges.....

Use Vellum @ MAWTT

Good morning good people. Hope the weather is kinder to you than it has been here! Wind and rain non stop again, I wanted to be going out for a walk everyday but not in this weather, I'll end up back in hospital with pneumonia!

I'm back today with a new challenge over at

MOVING ALONG WITH THE TIMES

and this week Wendy L our Spanish crafter has chosen

Vellum or Parchment

Now this theme was a challenge for me but trying to photograph my card proved to be an even bigger challenge!! All I can say is I'm sorry, no way would it focus at all, I tried everything I know but all to no avail. I don't know if it was the vellum, or the fact the stamping direct onto it is very soft.

It's actually very pretty in real life but you will just have to take my word on that lol!!
I stamped my yummy new LOTV pushchair stamp direct onto the blue vellum with blue ink and just coloured in a little shading with a polychromo pencil. The Special Delivery is a rub on and I fixed the vellum onto a blue card with 2 eyelets just along one side. A bit of ribbon and twine with a cute teddy charm and Bob's your uncle that's it!
(Actually Bob is not my uncle - he's the builder that is finally starting work on my renovations any day now, it's only been 2 years since work was meant to start!!)

Head over to the main challenge blog for lots of gorgeous inspiration from my multi talented teammies and you can check if you were in the top 3 last week while you are there.

I'll be back tomorrow with a brand new little project for me that I will explain then.

Thanks for stopping by and for your lovely comments, a big hello to my new followers too (if you read this far down)
