Cool Britannia @ MAWTT

Hello again my lovely friends, I'm back with a fab new challenge at

MOVING ALONG WITH THE TIMES

and this week it's little old me who has been given control lol!
Talk about lunatics running the asylum!
With all that's happening across the country I couldn't have any other theme than

Cool Britannia

a little bit of RED, WHITE & BLUE

No I haven't gone mad! I know the Diamond Jubilee is 60 years not 50 but this card is for a 50th birthday - hence my 50! a quick peek inside will silence my critics lol
Lisa I hope you can see I used my Cricut to cut out that sentiment! the name is in chipboard that I painted with my Dabbers and the fabulous papers are Tour of London from Nitwit. This was my first digi paper purchase and I fear it may not be the last!!! I printed the inside at 25% to get a light opaque look - I think it works!  I finally used my doo Hickey pennant die and I love it so much prepare to get sick of it!
Coloured in Copics is the super duper image from this weeks sponsor

Digi my world has just had a total blog-over and the new look is FAB!!!
Go check it out and see for yourself and all the gorgeous new images.

All the details of this weeks challenge can be found at the main challenge blog page along with some fabulouso patriotic inspiration from my lovely Teammies

Our head Honcho at MAWTT has a birthday today so
HAPPY BIRTHDAY HAZEL
my card is in the post!!
and also another DT Buddy has a birthday today
HAPPY BIRTHDAY FRANCESCA too!

China update: Raegan actually rang me on Sunday morning so that was lovely to speak to her, she is still having a fabulous time and said 'Clubbing China style; was hilarious! 8 of them from the hostel went and she said she had never seen anything so funny??
The next day she hired a bike for £1 and explored all around. She'd visited her first temple and is now heading for Shangri-La.

That's all from me, I have a busy weekend workwise as it's a long bank holiday so please forgive me if I don't get around to visiting you, I will as soon as I can!
Whatever you are doing I hope you have a great time

Well hello again lovely people, first things first, I have to apologise for not being around for the last few days - we were so so busy at work, I think everyone headed to the coast this last weekend and I haven't had 5 minutes to craft, blog or comment! And as we are heading into another bank holiday weekend I still might struggle to get to you - please don't think I've forgotten you - as Arnie said "I'll be back"!

I'm here today with a DT card for a brand new challenge at

Perfect for me as I had made this card for my BIL a few weeks ago and not got around to bloggin it!

The cute little teddie is LOTV and I've had him an age! The papers are Kaiser Craft and the black spotty one is like velvet, coloured with Copics and the star border and the star tag are Doo Hickey dies from Magnolia,

and inside (with the removable tag on the front out)

Celebrate @ MAWTT

Hello again I'm back again for the last of my 3 days in a row posts.
And this time its

MOVING ALONG WITH THE TIMES

and our lovely new girl on the block KIM is hosting and we have a fabulous theme of

Celebrate Anything But Birthdays

How cool is that! Weddings, New Home, Anniversary etc.
Great idea Kim and I had the perfect card I needed to make
I am getting a bit ahead of myself here as these lovely little twins aren't born yet and Mum & Dad are still arguing about the little boys name! I just assuming that Mum will win that argument or I'll be taking this to pieces to change Jakes name to Mason!
I'm still in my Mo Manning phase and I love love love this cute little image. I've just flipped it around to face itself and kept my card really simple as I wanted that image to be the focal point.

This really takes me back as I had twins 23 years ago next month! Just like these, a boy and a girl and we already had an 18 month old little boy at home - the next 5 years were a blur!!

Head over to the main MAWTT challnenge blog for all the details of this weeks challenge and some fabulous inspiration from my lovely teammies.

We are sponsored this week for the very last time by
http://www.craftyemmasstore.co.uk/

As you probably know Emma is closing her shop which means there are some fabulous bargains to be had and the £10 voucher for the winner will go a lot further!!

A quick update from China: My daughter Raegan is still having a fantastic time and has just had a 24 hour train journey (I'm guessing that wasn't so fantastic!) She said everyone is so friendly and children run to speak to her as they don't see many westerners. 2 school girls came rushing in the hostel to ask her lots of questions like what was her favourite pet and what was her wish? one of them said that her wish was to be a Dr and live in England.
Raegan said she now knows what it feels like to be a Z list celebrity!

Thanks for stopping by today, have a fabulous weekend and anyone going to the coast enjoy, I'm at Hunstanton if you're passing!

Keep It Real @ MAWTT

Good Morning or going by my card maybe I should say
'Top of the morning to you!' lol.
(All will become clear when you see it!)
I'm back today with a DT card for a brand new challenge over at

MOVING ALONG WITH THE TIMES

and this week my lovely new blog buddy Judith is setting us the challenge of

Keep It Real

so that means no fantasy figures, teddies or even fairies!
It can be plants & flowers as they are living
(not for long in my care though!)
Oh and don't tell the kids - but no Father Christmas either!!

For my card I've used this little Irish Dancer image from Mo Manning, I've had it a while and I've been dying to get around to using her - well done Mo on a fabulous image! I've coloured her with Copics and a touch of prisma pencils for shading. The gorgeous green papers I have had for ever! Hot of the Press, though I have had them so long they have cooled down a bit now! For those that don't know, green is my favourite colour! The star border is a Magnolia Doo Hickey die and the fabby flowers are from this weeks A-M-A-Z-I-N-G sponsor

WOW what a fabulous prize! I love this shop and frequently fill a basket there! If you are not familiar with it trust me its well worth the visit, why not pop over now!

All the details of this challenge can be found on the main blog page HERE and while you are there don't forget to check out the fabulous inspiration from my lovely teammies!

A quick update from China, my daughter is having a fab time and has met lots of new friends already, though most can't speak english!! She has tried a few Chinese delicasies 'snake' being one! She said it was a bit chewy! She declined the chickens feet for now lol. She also though it might be better not to know what she was eating in future!!

That's all from me for today, I'd like to say a big hello and thank you to my new followers and goodbye to the 3 that left this week!
I'm guessing they won't be here to read that though lol

Things With Wings @ Oldie But Goodie

A very good morning to you all, well I don't know about where you are but it was dry here all weekend. It rained again yesterday though so back to normal now!
My little girl flew off on her travels again last week and after a few days exploring Hong Kong she has now moved on to China where she'll spend the next 6 weeks! I'm crossing off the days till she gets home safe! She assured me lots of people go travelling on their own!

I'm back today with a brand new challenge over at

OLDIE BUT A GOODIE

and this time my gorgeous friend Debs is in charge and would like to see

Things With Wings

This was great for me as this little stamp has been sat waiting her turn for so long on my desk I could hear her foot tapping!

Isn't she fab? Its Pippi Longsocks from Sugar Nellie and I love her! My papers are Basic Grey Kissing Booth and once again I used my MFT flower die. I actually followed the sketch over at The Sugar Bowl and really enjoyed making this, its ages since I followed a good sketch! Coloured with Copics and the plain cardstock is Stampin' Up which I got from Zoe (link in my sidebar)

We are sponsored this week by

and all the details can be found on the main challenge blog along with some fabulous inspiration from my lovely team mates.

Remember you can now use a digital image to join in but something on your card has to be at least 6 months old and you have to tell us what it is in your post

Happy Birthday Mum

Good Morning Blogland, I just got back from my Mum's as it was her 83rd birthday yesterday and I took her out to lunch and the bingo! (Some people really know how to live it up!) That was her choice by the way, not mine!
I managed to get a card made for her at the expense of my DT work, I'm now behind but hopefully I'll get something made when I get home from work tonight!
My Mother is having a knitting phase at the minute and churning out the most funky hats you have ever seen (I'll take some pictures and post them for you, I've got them in my surf shop for sale), so I thought this Teddy Bea knitting was the ideal image!

This was one of the images I won at the Teddy Bo challenge, it was a fabulous prize - 10 images! The paper is Fancy Pants and I'm having a serious Stampin' Up phase too, I love this lush ribbon and matching card. I'm thinking of becoming a Stampin' Up seller soon. (if that's what they are called lol)
The fabulous flowers are from my massive WOC stash (talk about addiction!) and the buttons are from my stash too.

I hope you all have a great weekend, with no rain!

Hello again my lovely friends, I'm finally catching up with my DT commitments but still a little behind visiting you all! It's my Mum's birthday tomorrow so I'm off to Leicester later today for a couple of days, so I still won't get straight to you!

I'm here today as its a brand new challenge at

MOVING ALONG WITH THE TIMES

and this week our lovely new Leesa (The Navy Wife)
has chosen a very topical theme for her challenge

Nautical

I really enjoyed this one and got another chance to play with my favourite Magnolia's
Coloured with Copics and Prisma Pencils for a bit of shading, the papers are from Maja Designs, Life By The Sea 6x6 pad which was a present from the very lovely Jill last year.
Are you impressed with my knot tying skills?......don't be.......I didn't do it, my husband did it for me, after a lot of moaning and grunting!! (Makes a change from all the helpful and supportive husbands you all have!)

All my gorgeous Magnolia's (and Copics) come from my favourite shop who just happen to be  this weeks sponsor

Janice and Andy provide the best service in blogland and now my car can find its way there I often find myself calling in! lol

This is the prize they are offering this weeks winner
All the details can be found on the main challenge blog along with some fabulous inspiration from the DT girls, they have really pushed the boat out this week lol (get it? boat- nautical)

If I manage to get my card done for my Mum, I will be back with another post this week - if not - I'm in trouble!

Sunny In The Lake District!

Well as promised just a couple of quick pics taken in the Lake District last week, I'm not sure of all the place names as it was my first visit but I do hope it won't be my last!

There were 16 of us and not one had the right clothes as we were expecting rain and only got sun!

I took most of the pictures but I am on a couple!

This was taken at Honister slate mine, I'm hiding behind Mike on the left!
This was on the bridge at the beginning of our walk around Buttermere,
these pictures are backwards as we went to Honister after we had a been to Buttermere and had the obligatory pub lunch!
I can't remember which one this was! A lot of alcohol is consumed on these group getaways! It was extremely beautiful and the water was so clear!
A little bit of culture! The white building inbetween the 2 slate houses is Dove Cottage, the former home of William Wordsworth - I wandered lonely as a cloud etc etc etc.....
Again I'm not sure which lake this is! I do know we were on the way to the Drunken Duck for a very fine pub lunch and the best chips I've ever tasted!
This is me and Alan, Fridaymans newest member on the last night, again alcohol was aplenty. I don't like this picture but Lisa tells me off for not posting recent pictures of me!

I'll be back tomorrow with my MAWTT card (if I've managed to finish it!)

Anything But Square @ The Ladybugs

Hello strangers! I'm back from my jollies in the Lake District and can you believe the statistically wettest place in England was warm, sunny and DRY all the time we were there! I'll blog a couple of photo's tomorrow. I came back and went straight to work as it was a bank holiday weekend and now I have so much catching up to do!

First things first, and it's a brand new challenge over at

LADYBUGS CRAFT INK

and my gorgeous friend Pami is hosting today
she has thrown us the challenge of
Anything But Square
now come on admit it....how many of you are expecting a mini round card from me?
Surprise surprise.....it isn't!!
I've used Cheeky Jack aavailable HERE, he's one of my favourite LCI images and the shape is cut with a Go Kreate die, I cut 2 and folded one in half and stuck half of it to the front panel to make it stand up. The wild child is a rub on and perfect for my friends little Grandson!

Head over to the main challenge blog for all the details on this weeks challenge and some fabulous inspiration from the Ladybugs.
I didn't get to visit all my quota with comments as I was away for a week but I'll make sure I do this week! Thank you all for bearing with me.

Summer Sunshine @ MAWTT

As this post is scheduled I'm wondering if we will actually see any Sunshine this year!
If you're wondering why I haven't visited, I'm still away in the Lakes and there mustn't be any signal, else I would have visited you! I hope your missing me as much as I'm missing my blog and you guys!
It's day 3 of my mini marathon and this time its new challenge day at

MOVING ALONG WITH THE TIMES

and the very lovely,  newly married new teammie Claire is in charge today
and she wants to see some

SUMMER SUNSHINE
lol don't we all! I hope all the rain means at least a heatwave later in the year!
For my card I've got little Lewis from the Prairie Fairy out again, I really love this little dude and this time I've tried to make it like he is in the water with a little artistic license the flowers and swirls represent waves! yes? no? lol
The papers are Fancy Pants and I've used Copics to colour. A little glossy accents on his glasses.

Head over to the main challenge blog for all the details of this weeks challenge and fab prize from this weeks sponsor

While you are there check out the fabulous inspiration from my lovely team mates.

That's all from me today, thank you for stopping by and having a look, and to those of you that do, thanks for the lovely comments, I still get excited when I see that I have a new comment lol

Monochromatic @ Diva's

Hello again and it's day 2 of my marathon posting!
This should be a scheduled post and I should be trekking around the Lake District, I've never been before so looking forward to the great scenery. I just hope it stops raining!

It's time for a brand new challenge at

DIVA'S BY DESIGN

and the lovely Rebekah want us to go all

Monochromatic

I've had this Magnolia stamp sat waiting to be coloured up for sooooo long so this was the perfect chance to uses her!
And I've been desperate to use my funky feathers since I first saw Rebekah use them, they are from Prima and me being me (unable to part with most of my stash) I had to split them up to use some! The papers are Tim Holtz (something else I struggle to part with) and the postcard stamp is from LOTV.

We have a fabulous sponsor this week

If you are not familiar with the shop I suggest you head over there now! You won't be disappointed. All the details of this weeks challenge, the prize and some fabulous inspiration from the Diva's can all be found on the main blog page HERE

On a sad note, Anita has decided to step down from the Diva's DT
but fear not we shall all continue to stalk her in blogland.

That's all from me today, I'll be back tomorrow with my MAWTT post.
Thank you for looking
Love 'n' Hugs Laurie xx

I'll try and link up to the following challenges when I can get Internet:

Punches & Dies @ Oldie But Goodie

A very good morning to you all out there, I'm actually away in the Lake District or at least I hope I am! There are 8 couples so it should be a lot of fun though I'm not too sure about all the walking! Last year we all went to the Italian Lakes and had a heatwave, not expecting the same weather here!

It's time for my crazy week of a post on 3 consecutive days and to start the week this time its over to

OLDIE BUT A GOODIE

and the very lovely Janice is in charge! Time to get busy with the cutting and show us your

Punches & Die Cuts

I used Stella from this weeks sponsor the mighty ' Bugaboo' and made this into a Passed your test card as when I needed one recently I didn't have one. The main card has been made with the largest of the nesties scalloped circle and the fabby clouds are from Dienamics MFT.
Coloured with Copics, the paper is I think MME, but it was just a scrap laying around so I could be wrong! The ribbon, buttons and card have all come from my stash.
Head over to the main challenge blog to see some more fabulous inspiration from my lovely team mates and all the details of this challenge.

Remember to tell us what you have used that is over 6 months old to qualify for the prize.

As I mentioned already this week we are sponsored by Bugaboo

Thanks for stopping by and I will get to visit everyone when I get back!

Before I go, as I'm away  I'd just like to wish my lovely lovely friend and team mate Debs a very very
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Love 'n' Hugs Laurie xx

Not here to enter any challenges but if I can get a signal I'll try!
