Moving Along With Sqidgi Digi

Good Morning blogland, I seem to have got myself in a right old pickle this week! I 've lost a couple of days somewhere along the way, and I had a major catastrophe with the wedding invitations and some Distress ink! They went from pink to brown over night and I had to start that bit all over again. All sorted now and I had my kids on a production line yesterday, cutting, scoring and gluing to make the boxes! They should be all finished by the weekend and I'll post some more pictures.

Thursday means its DT time for me again over at

Thanks to everyone who joined in last week with some sparkle, check the main challenge blog to see if your card shone through to the top 3 or winners spot.

This week the delicious Debs has been cooking up a
'Recipe'

3 Design Papers
2 Types of Embellishments
1 Image

We have a super sponsor this week, the fabulous Beth and

Check out all the details of the challenge, the faberooni prize on offer and the dynamic DT's inspiration for you on the MAWTT challenge blog.

I don't like to make excuses for my cards but I feel I owe Lisa and Beth one for this! I ran out of days and made this really quickly last night and photographing at night as not done it any favour either!! The image is the super cool '70's Girl from Squidgi Digi and I'm really sorry but I don't feel I have done it justice! All 3 papers aren't as wishy washy as they look here and, they don't look it from that angle, but the buttons are straight!

Thanks for stopping by today to visit me
Happy crafting

Pami's Pink Card

Good Morning everyone, how nice was the weather yesterday? well it was really sunny here at Hunny anyway! I hope it lasts for Lisa and Pams visit this weekend.

Today is just a quick post as I want to show you the card I made for Pami's birthday yesterday, and now I know she has received it I can post it here to share.
I used my very first Kraftin Kimmie stamp, I first saw image this on Pami and Mary J's blogs and as it was sold out everywhere at the time I had to send to the USA to get it! That's determination for you! The papers are Echo Park 'Be Mine' and they could be the only 6x6 pad that I ever use all up! The flowers of course are WOC, I just love the new Carnations and the sentiment LOTV.

Thank you for visiting and for the lovely comments you leave me, I'm off to bake a cake in honour of their visit, have to pretend to be all domesticated!!

Have a great weekend, Love 'n' Hugs

Party Pictures

Well against my better judgement but as promised pictures of my 50th birthday party. I showed these to my Mum the other day (along with the other 305!) and she didn't recognise me!! I had a great time, and the pictures are lovely to look back on but there honestly isn't one of me that I like!!! No new profile pic here then.

The drinks were lined up for guests as they arrived, my cake was gorgeous, the bottom was chocolate sponge, the middle vanilla and the top was strawberry cake yum yum. Not one slice was left at the end of the night !
I had two show girls helping to hand around the canapes then the vodka and mojito jellies which were a big hit with the men (the girls not the jelly) actually the girls and the jellies! Of the 180 people there I think at least 179 had a hangover the next day - I was fine.......I had my hangover two days later LOL
My eldest son Jordan, made a speech, I think my husband was too drunk to string a sentence together! At least I didn't have to say anything.
Here I am with all my family, you can see how far gone my husband is on this picture LOL There is a canvas behind us that all the guests signed and wrote messages (well most of them that could still write)
Me again with my friends Colin & Sally - note bottle of pink champagne & straw! You can also see how hot I was, the whole night was one long hot flush!!
With my best friend Janie (in red) and her son's girlfriend Sophie. I had a mouthful of chocolate cake at the time, it looks like I've had cheek implants!!

Below is my daughter Raegan and my eldest sons french girlfriend Agathe who is just gorgeous - I do keep mentioning that I'm desperate for a grandchild but he's not biting!!

Raegans twin brother Joel on the right with Rob and Emily who both work for us, my twins are my babies, you can see why I'm ready for grandchildren - they're a bit too big to take to the park now!!
It was so hot that night people kept drifting outside, the heat was probably coming off me!!
Just a few more.......keep awake!
Some dancing and merriment, Lou and Toni 2 lovely friends.
Last 2, well done those that managed to stay with me till the end! Graham on the fist picture celebrated his 60th the night before, as you can see he is a bit of a party animal!

Well I think you can get the general idea of my birthday from those pictures. No more parties from me for a long time now, we've done  18th, 21st, 40th, 50th and silver weddings I think when Michael reaches 60 we'll just go out for a nice quiet meal!!

Moving Along With Hazels Sketch

Good Morning bloggers,  albeit blustery and blowy it's perfect weather for my hot flushes lol! The wind is cooling me down nicely thank you very much.

Its Thursday already and time for a new challenge over at

What an amazing lot of entries we had last week, there were some fantastic ideas for handmade flowers that I can't wait to try out. Head over to the main challenge blog to see if you were a winner or top 3.

This week our Head Mover Alonger Hazel has provided us with a super sketch to follow
and we have a fab sponsor this week, the megalicious
They have an amazing selection of goodies on offer and even better a fab sale on too.
Check out the main challenge blog for all the details of this weeks prize and for some fabulous inspiration from my super talented team mates.
For my card I've used one of my many (unused) Stampin Bella images that I loved so much when I bought them, and still do! So many stamps, so little time! I thought this would be great as a Passing Your Driving Test card.
The arrows were cut from a cuttlebug die, the ovals from a nestie and the flowers from little punches.
I like to mix it up a little and not make all my cards with 3D flowers now and again. The sentiment is SU.

Thanks for looking and to those that do, for the lovely comments

Love 'n' Hugs Laurie xx

Moving Along with Handmade flowers

Good morning my lovely fellow bloggers, I think I'm back in a routine and I actually made a card! I was a bit late as I seem to have got all confused and lost a day this week and I had to photograph it at night which is never a good thing with a flash! If you think I don't know what I'm talking about there is a good chance that I retook the photo this morning!

Its time for a brand new challenge over at
and this week our lovely Pami
(who I'm going to meet very soon) has chosen the theme
 Handmade Flowers
Now Pam is a bit of a whiz at handmade flowers and churns them out faster than interflora, but as all of mine come from Wild Orchid Crafts it was a bit more of a challenge for me!

I used my poinsettia die from Magnolia Doo Hickey and blue glitter card from DCWV, a Martha Stewart border punch and I coloured the super image from LOTV with Copics which are available from Stamping Scrapping Central

Our fab sponsors this week is LOTV and they are offering the lucky winner this fabulous prize
They also have a new release of Christmas stamps due out next week,  check their online store  HERE

Don't forget to check out the main MAWTT challenge blog for all the details of this challenge, to see if you were a winner last week and to see what my gorgeous girls have made for your inspiration this week.
