Use Orange @ Diva's

Good morning to my lovely blogging friends, I hope you were all safe from the storms that hit the UK the last few days, my it was windy here but nothing bad to report, I think we were lucky and missed the worst of it!
A couple of people have asked me about my new blog design, I made it myself with elements from Raspberry Roads 'Seaside Romance' and I'm a bit chuffed how it turned out!!

It's time for a new challenge at

DIVA'S BY DESIGN

and this week we would like you to

'Use Orange'

Nice and simple and gives us all lots of scope.
I'm not a big Halloween fan so I went for a simple everyday style boy card

This is 'Goldfish Kid' and I coloured him with Copics and matched up to some Halloween paper I had left from last year. Not sure what it is, sorry. Kept him nice and simple, not sure you could call it CAS because the stripes, what do you think?

Head over to the main challenge blog where you can find all the details and lots of inspiration and what prize you can win from this weeks sponsor

That's it from me. Thank you for stopping by and any lovely comments you may leave. I'll be back in a couple of days with a new challenge at Heck of a Challenge, 1st of November already! Where did the year go?

By Heck I'm Going Again!

Good morning and a new month already! I don't know where this year went?
Christmas will be here and over before we know it!

Well I know that I only just made a comeback to blogging and crafting but I'm off again as I'm nipping to Tenerife for a bit of sunshine. I fly this morning at 6.45am so I won't be around again for a couple of weeks. I have got a few posts coming up while I'm away if Mr Blogger plays nice and schedules them properly!

I've been missing from this DT for a couple of months but at last I had time to make a card for this new challenge at

HECK OF A CHALLENGE

and this month we would like to see your

Autumn Colours

I've had this little stamp half coloured on my desk for weeks, I bought him a couple of years ago I think (it could be just one year - time flies) either way I think its just the cutest!!

I have another image from the same set, that one is a little Indian on a hobby horse, they are from Nellie Snellen, I added a little sheriff's badge charm which I believe is Karen Foster.

Head over to the main challenge blog for lots of fabulous inspiration from my talented teammies and all the details of the challenge and the prize on offer from the Mandy's and
their fabulous online store

or if you're in the area call in to the bricks and mortar shop
The Craft and Hobby Store, Heckmondwike
That's all from me today, I'll be back tomorrow with my Diva's card and Thursday with the return of MAWTT, busy week for me especially has I've hardly made anything lately!!

If I can find some decent wifi I'd like to enter this into the following challenges..

Glitter and Sparkle @ Diva's

A very happy good morning to you all, this post is here I hope, as I'm not! I'm on my way to Euro Disney and a couple of days in the Disneyland Hotel before I go from there to Germany on Friday evening for a visit to the Christmas Markets. I have to get myself from Paris to Eisenach by train lol....  I'll let you know if I succeed!

Today is a brand new challenge at

DIVA'S BY DESIGN

and this week we want to see a bit of

Glitter and Sparkle

Well my card is for a man! lol and it fits the challenge!!
My Nephew was 18 the other week and he is a drummer in a band so I couldn't use anything other than this fab image 'Tommy Leen' from the Rock Squad at Kenny K who are this weeks sponsors.

It might not show up too much in this picture but the 18 and the name have been glittered in Martha Stewart black glitter and in real life they sparkle lovely!! The papers are from the Basic Grey 'Little Black Dress' 6x6 pad and the diamante music note charm twinkles like a star!
Head over to the main challenge blog for all the details of this challenge and some sparkalicious inspiration from the Diva's.
I'm not sure how I'll get on this week with my comments, I'm taking my iPad just encase I can find some wifi.

Thank you all for your visits and the lovely comment,
I'll put some pictures up of my adventures in Disneyland!!

Head over to the main challenge blog for all the details on this weeks challenge and some fabulous inspiration from the Ladybugs.

Button Moon

Happy Sunday everyone, the sun is shining but the sky is grey here if that makes sense! Thought I'd sneak a little card in that has been coloured up for a while and last night I gave up on 2 DT cards I've been struggling with and made this instead!

I've been wanting to play at Lili's Little Fairies but not found the time until now
Yes as usual I've had this LOTV image since its release day last year and this is its first outing! The stars are a Memory Box die. And as its significant a little peak at the inside

Now he is 'Gorgeous' literally as that's his name! He was a freebie from Pollycraft.

I'm overwhelmed that my followers has just gone over 300!
I hope that not everyone is only here for the candy and will stick around for a while, I love having you over!

Well that's about it from me today,
enjoy the rest of your weekend

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

Lil' Dude

Well it's not such a good morning in my part of the world today folks! It's really grey and miserable but I suppose we have more to be grateful for than a lot!

I'm here to sneak in a quick card between DT's. Since I've had this flu thingy my mojo has gone missing and try as I might I just can't make a DT card! So I thought I'd try something different and I've had little Lewis all stamped out waiting to be coloured.
I love Prairie Fairy images and Gillian made an appearance here a week or so ago, this is 'Lewis At The Beach' how cute is that little face? and I hate 'crocs' with a vengeance but his are just adorable! The papers I've had forever! Brown chipboard letters for 'Dude' and a die cut wave is about it on this one.

I can share some news today as it's finally been announced on the blog, I've been bursting to tell - I have been chosen to join the fabulous

They are going weekly and the fantabulous Rebekah was looking to expand their DT, my official start date is Feb 8th but I couldn't wait that long and will I will be joining in from next week. At last I will be a real Diva! my family have been telling me that for years!

Thank you to everyone who drops by and reads my drivel and to everyone who leaves a comment - it never ceases to amaze me how excited you can get by that! Hello to all my followers, old and new.

A Challenge For Myself

Hello again, welcome and thank you for visiting. I'm getting the hang of this blogging malarkey now and I'm absolutely loving it! Even if nobody reads my drivel I'm happy posting it!
I decided that I needed to challenge myself and the hardest thing for me is making male cards (OK I made it easier by making a mini man card, but technically boys will be men eventually!) It's really hard to get texture on a card for a man, ribbons, bows, gems and flowers just don't cut it, buttons is our only saving grace. These stars were from an old Christmas garland that was gonna get thrown out, but me being a hoarder, 'nothing ' actually gets thrown out!
I'm really pleased with how this has turned out, the stars, buttons & pop up aliens I stamped and cut out have given it what I think is usually missing from my cards for men or boys.
Originally I didn't create this card for any challenges, just me, but I came across Anyone For Anya after I'd made it. I'm not sure if it fits their criteria of '2 Images' but I have nothing to lose by trying. I love the Anya images and enjoyed making it. This was the first time I have used this stamp ( Oldie But A Goodie have got me in the habit of dusting off all my great but tucked away stamps)
I was also pointed in the direction of the Allsorts Challenge by my buddy Lisa who have a theme of 'Saving Nature' this week and my stars qualify for that.
The paper for this card is from Prima's 'Spaceboy' 6 x 6 pad and I love it, the stamp as I said is an Anya from The Greetings Farm everything else is from my stash.
Thanks for stopping by x
