Oldie But Goodies Teddy Bears Picnic

Good morning Bloggers and thank you for stopping by my little corner of the cyber space crafting world today. I'm back from 5 fantastic days in Italy and It's time for a new challenge over at
and this week the lovely Pauline has chosen the theme for us and she wants us to have
A Teddy Bears Picnic
So dust off your teddy stamps and remember you must use a rubber stamp (not a digi) and it must be at least 6 months old to be able to join in for a chance to win a fabulous prize and this week we are sponsored by stampelkallan and they are offering the winner 5 stamps and as a new release came out yesterday there couldn't be a better time to choose! Also on offer this week is a Guest Designer spot and a DT call. Head over to the main challnge blog to check out all the details and to see what our fabulous design team have come up with for your inspiration.
For my card I used a Forever Friends stamp that I must have had forever! I don't even know where I got him, all I know is I have never used him and I found him at the back of my draw when I was desperately searching for a teddy stamp.

The paper is from the DCWV 'Glitter' stack and the green meshy jutey wire stuff is from Bunny Zoes. The flowers are Prima (I seem to be using more of these lately than the 3D variety) and the sentiment is LOTV.  The chipboard 3 is from my stash was painted with dabbers and you can't see it but I covered the inside of the card in matching DP's.
I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
Allsorts - Teddy Bears Picnic
Papertake Weekly.  - Bloom and Grow
A Spoonfull Of Sugar  - Anything Goes
Cupcake Craft  - In The Garden

Moving Along With Brenda Brown

BuonGiornoInghilterra
Hopefully that says ' Good Day England' as I should be at this minute somewhere in Italy testing lots of gorgeous Italian wine, food (especially ice cream) and shops! My lovely Husband has whisked me off on a mini break with a group of 10 friends and hopefully I'm having a brilliant time!

It's Thursday again already and that means DT time for me over at
and this week the fantabulous Brenda Brown has given us her initials to play with BB so that could mean anything you choose - buttons - bows - bling - brads - blue - butterflies etc as long has it has two B's on it we want to see it.
We are sponsored this week by the lovely Crafty Emma's Store
And this fabulous prize is up for grabs
Today I want to share with you a Birthday Book I made for a friends Daughter. This is the 7th of these that I have made (I'm now working on the 8th) The first one was for my eldest Son's 21st and that one led to all the others! There are quite a few pictures I hope you stay till the end!
I started with a Bo Bunny My Word Album which I covered with my favourite Making Memories Cosmopolitan paper, and sanded and distressed all the edges. Out of the 7 I have made 6 have been made with this paper in either the blue or pink., (I have had 3 12x12 pads of this hoarded away for years) lol
Each two page spread has been done in matching patterned paper and all the photographs were taken into Photoshop, the colour removed and then recoloured with just a hint of brown and pink to make them blend in with the background
All the photo's were double matted to give them a stronger definition and some of the chipboard letters had to be painted or chalked.

Some of the quotes were cut from a Quikcutz alphabet. Each book is only as good as the photo's you put in it and fortunately there were lots of lovely pictures of Layla for me to choose from.

Each page is decorated with mainly Prima blooms and flat back pearls or gems & buttons. American Crafts ribbon matched this colour combo perfectly, I tied it around the letter pages into knots.

I have used different fonts in different sizes and colours. Apparently Layla cried when she received this from her parents!

Any memorabilia that you have can be used to decorate each page like tickets or charms. I try to make the quotes interesting, funny and relative to the photo's on that page. I have used the 'baby to babe' quote 3 times now - the parents can relate to it!

I also use rub on's when I can, in this case I have used 'Happy and Birthday in a rub on and the 18 is American Crafts Thickers. I didn't take a photo of the back but I printed out a text square blank in the middle for the person giving it to write in
I made one for my Mum for her 80th birthday with the word 'Family' and I also made a 'Friend' one for my Nephews girlfriend to give to her friend.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
Crafty Catz - Give Us a Quote
Scrappy Frogs - Anything Goes
One Stop Craft Challenge  - Birthdays
Secret Crafter  - Dust Off Your Stash
Simon Says Stamp And Show  - Anything Goes
Divas By Design  - Anything Goes (2nd Entry)

Don't forget to head over to the main challenge blog to see what the fabulous DT have made for your inspiration and I will come and visit when I get back to see what BB you have come up with for this fabulous challenge.

Moving Along With A Slice Of Cake!

Good morning Blogland I'm back to a bit of normality this week, I'm about to have two days at home to catch up on all my chores - no work - no taxi-ing anyone about - no funerals to attend miles from home! Just piles and piles of ironing!!!!

It's Thursday again which means DT time for me over at
Wow did we have a massive response to Pami's Anything Goes challenge last week - over 400 fantastic entries - I'm glad I didn't have to choose that winner!

This week it's Shell's turn to host and she has chosen 'Have Some Cake' We have been sponsored by Bows and Berries who are offering the winner 2 Digi's from their store and everyone who enters can have a whopping 25% discount with this code BB25 whilst the challenge is running! We were lucky to be given some fun images to play with.
For my card today I have tried my hand at paper piecing for the first time. I kept it nice and simple - glossy white and glossy black card and my top tier is spotty, I've 'net pieced' the veil if that counts! My sentiment is LOTV and along with some polka dot DP, a scrap of net and some ribbon that was that! I'm quite pleased with the outcome - believe it or not, this is very 'less is more for me! lol

Be sure to head over to the main challenge blog to check out the fabulous DT makes and I hope you will join us again this week for another great challenge.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
Ladybugs Crafts Ink  - Going Dotty
Simon Says Stamps - Paper Piecing or Piercing
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
Divas By Design  - Anything Goes

Thank you for stopping by to have a look and to those that do for your lovely comments.

I'm An Oldie But A Goodie!

Hello Bloggers thank you for stopping by today to visit, I have some fantastic news that I've been bursting to keep to myself! I was asked to join the
And I am beside myself to have the opportunity to dust off my delicious stamps and join such a fabulous group of ladies. Trust me I have enough (unused) old stamps to keep me on this DT forever!

For my first contribution the fabulous Tracy has chosen the theme
' Say It With Flowers' and as it's my Mums birthday next week it was easy to combine the two events (thanks Tracy for easing me gently into this!) This fabulous prize is up for grabs so make sure you head over to the main challenge blog to see what the talented DT have made for your inspiration
PLEASE REMEMBER YOU MUST INCLUDE A STAMPED (NOT DIGITAL) IMAGE THAT IS AT LEAST 6 MONTHS OLD
For my card I have been itching to try using acetate after seeing Carol make some fantastic cards lately. The only thing I will say is maybe I needed a thicker variety of acetate as it's a wee bit wobbley! The stamp is from Whipper Snapper and it must have been in my drawer for at least 3 years uninked! Yikes! The flowers are all from Prima and the swirl is a Magnolia Doo Hickey Die. Brads, gems and flat back pearls are all from my stash as was the chipboard.
I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
Stamptacular Sunday - Mum's The Word
Pear Tree Designs - Free For All
Craft Your Passion - Anything Goes
Creative Card Crew.- For Mom
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes

Thank you for looking and to those that do for commenting and I hope to see you all over at Oldie But A Goodie to see what you have created for the 'Say It With Flowers' challenge
