Colourful Christmas @ HOAC

Happy Sunday Peeps, hope you all have a relaxing day planned. December 1st already! How many of you are in a panic over Christmas and how many are all done? I'm probably somewhere between the 2 (well hopefully I am as this is scheduled from early November!!)
Time for a new challenge today at

HECK OF A CHALLENGE

and this month Kevin chose the theme

Colourful Christmas

I really needed a push to make Christmas cards so this was good for me, and to make it even quicker I decided to use a topper that I didn't have to colour from the Hobby House.

The papers are a bit of a mixture, a couple of them were a gift from Zoe @ Stampin Up! (link in my sidebar) and I think the pink one is Echo Park. Lots of pretty snowflake dies and flowers. I did just add a bit of colour to the image with my pencils to get a bit more depth.

Head over to the main challenge blog for lots of colourful inspiration from my lovely teammies and all the details of the challenge and the prize on offer from the Mandy's can be found HERE and
their fabulous online store

or if you're in the area call in to the bricks and mortar shop
The Craft and Hobby Store, Heckmondwike
That's all from me today, enjoy your weekend

Use Red @ Diva's

Good Morning everyone, time for a new challenge at

DIVA'S BY DESIGN

and this week Rebekah wants you to

Use Red

That shouldn't be a problem with all the Christmas cards we are all (if you are anything like me) rushing to make!

Kept this one nice and simple, recoloured the image in Photoshop to print in red not black, a bit of double matting, a lovely crisp gingham ribbon and bow and a rub on sentiment - Bob's your uncle - done in a flash! Might even whizz a few more of these out! It does look a bit pink but I can assure you the cardstock is bright white! so difficult to photograph.

The super image is from this weeks sponsor

Head over to the main challenge blog for all the details and some gorgeous inspiration from my teammies.

That's it from me today, thank you for stopping by

Music Inspired @ MAWTT

Hello again, I'm back with my 'struggling to make' one card a week post! I don't know what's happening but my mojo is in slow motion lately. I'm missing a lot of things I'd like to be joining in with but I just don't have the motivation!
My daughter left to go to Japan yesterday, she is spending 6 months there. She really has wanderlust in her veins that one, you can't keep her here for love nor money. She has a job this time and she is going to be teaching children to ski, so I won't worry as much as I usually do when she goes off traveling on her own! Her twin brother (Joel) and his mate have booked to go and visit her in January and learn to snowboard. What exciting lives my kids lead! I wish I had had their opportunities!
She is already planning her next trip for this time next year!!

Don't forget to link up to my candy, I have a brand new Stampin' Up! scoreboard to give away to a new home, I plan on redistributing a lot of my unused stash in the coming months too!

I'm here today with a new challenge at

MOVING ALONG WITH THE TIMES

and this week my lovely friend Pam is hosting the theme

Music Inspired

I'm having a bit of a LOTV surge at the minute (for a change, I have lots of un-inked little lili stamps that I love and I'm determined to use) and I still have a zillion Christmas cards to make!!
Here's one more to add to the pile.

I'm quite chuffed how this turned out, even if it did take me an age to make it lol. I know there is only 3 of them but it makes me think of '9 Ladies Dancing' from the 12 Days of Christmas song. Also you can't keep me off the dance floor when Abba's Dancing Queen comes on!!The papers are last years Echo Park (I was also determined not to buy any Christmas paper this year) and the red ridged paper I found 3 rolls at the back of the cupboard that I'd had for years. I do love traditional Christmas colours don't you? The eagle eyed might have spotted my 'so wrapped' die cut tag again - I can't help using it I love it and my favourite Doo Hickey die snowflake.

Head over to the main challenge blog for all the details on the challenge, the prize that's up for grabs this week and some beautiful inspiration from my teammies.

Thank you all for stopping by and for all the lovely comments you leave me. I'm off to book myself a little holiday as it's suddenly got colder I'm craving a bit of winter sun then I'm heading to my Mums for a couple of days to get all her jobs and shopping done.

Have a lovely weekend

I'm here today with a new challenge at

I've been itching to ink up this cute LOTV stamp ever since it landed through the front door! Super cute image or what? Love that Maja paper too, Vintage Summer LOL definitely in season then! The snowflake is a Martha Stewart punch, since I've made this I've had a new snowflake die that I can't wait to use so watch out for it!

Head over to the main challenge blog to check out the fabby inspiration the girls have made for you and all the details of this weeks sponsor and prize

Fur Cones and Fir Cones @ Diva's

Good morning guys I'm here with a card for a brand new challenge at

DIVA'S BY DESIGN

and today Rebekah has chosen the theme

Distressing

I had so much fun making this card,
it's been a while since I enjoyed card making this much!!

How cute is that image lol it's called Fur Cones from LOTV
I bought it last year when I went to the Harrogate show in October with Lisa, Pam, Debs and Claire and this is the first time I've used it. I got the paper pad from LOTV too.
The snowflakes edger is from Tim Holtz as is the fabulous Fir Cones Bigz die both available from Janice at Sir Stampalot. Louise told me how to make them when I called in one day, you might have to zoom in to even see what I'm talking about!
My cute snowflake charm is tied up with some fab neutral twine.

Our sponsor this week is

And you can check out the rest of the teams makes over on the Diva's challenge blog. The teams are having a bit of a shake up and I used to be Team A and from next week I'll be Team B so hopefully I'll get something made in time - I've not been the quickest crafter lately!!

That's all from me today, short and sweet.

New Challenge @ LCI

Good Morning my lovely friends, I'm so sorry you must think I've abandoned you all! I haven't been near my computer for the last week or so as it was busy busy busy at work again for the Bank Holiday, and can you believe it sunshine again - two consecutive bank holiday's, almost unheard of in this country!!
I"m so behind with all my comments I'm probably going to get the sack from all my DT positions! If I don't I might have to reconsider what I take on this summer as I don't seem to be very efficient at the moment!

I did however find time to make something for the new challenge at

LADYBUGS CRAFT INK

where the theme is a fabulous

Colour Wheel

I only just got this finished in time by the skin of my teeth!
And to make things worse all my scheduled posts that I got so far ahead of myself have been posted now - lol now it will be a challenge!!

Here's my card for this week
This was my third attempt! Not a lot seemed to be going right before this one.
I've used the fantabulous Jack and Robyn Gotcha cling stamp available HERE and don't forget all stamps are on Special offer, Kerry has reduced them so much you would be mad not to buy them and some for presents while you can pick up such a bargain!
The papers are from the LOTV pads last year and I'm having a 'phase' on shaped cards at the minute! Flowers are WOC and I used puffy snow to give some texture.

Here's the colour wheel
You just need to pick two opposite colours to play along.

Head over to the main challenge blog for all the details and some beautiful inspiration from the Ladybugs as well as all the information you need regards the prize on offer.

I have another busy day ahead and tonight I'm off to The Theatre Royal Norwich to see 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show' and no I'm not dressing up!!!

I promise to try and comment on your blogs this week instead of just looking!!

Movie or Song Inspired at MAWTT

Morning Peeps I'm a tad excited as today at

MOVING ALONG WITH THE TIMES

Tammy is hosting a new challenge with my favourite theme

Inspired by a Song or Film

I don't know why but I absolutely love this theme!!
It's my all time favourite challenge.
Here is my little offering inspired by the
Will Ferrell Movie ' ELF'

Isn't this image a little cutie? The fab papers were sent to me by Zoe at Stampin' Up (link in my side bar) as a sample and it worked as I then had to buy the whole kit! The chipboard letters, bells and ribbon were in my stash from way back when!!

We have a super sponsor this week

Digi My World

Do pop along to the store and check out the fabulous little images on offer and head over to the main challenge blog for all the details of this challenge and some gorgeous inspiration and lots of fun from my teammies!

Me a Guest Designer for a Magnolia DT!!!

Wow can you believe that post title !! I've read it a hundred times and I still can't believe it! But yes it's true - I'm a Guest Designer for a Magnolia Design Team!

Look I even have the badge to prove it!!

This little beauty will be taking pride of place at the top of my sidebar after today, probably staying there FOREVER!!
My Tilda Christmas card that I made just for fun a few weeks ago was chosen in the top 3 at
and it also came with a Guest Designer spot which I will be eternally grateful for lol
The theme for this challenge is

Magnolia Christmas
Without Tilda or Edwin

and this little Santa was my favourite in its release,
goodness knows how many years ago now!!

It's been easy making Christmas cards with this crazy weather, not a lot of motivation needed other than the snow out the window.
The papers are Carta Bella and the sentiment stamp, flower and mistletoe dies are all from Magnolia. I stuck a few beads on the mistletoe to make it more dimensional and I'm pleased with how it came out.  I cut Santa out and mounted him on glue gel so he sits quite 'high' on the card, at first I masked him on the bench but I didn't like that as much.

I hope you will pop over to the Time For Magnolia blog to see the beautiful cards created by the DT and I would like to thank them for letting me GD for this challenge.

That's it from me, I'm working today and all weekend but I have a post scheduled for Monday as its the 1st of a new month already!! Enjoy your Easter weekend and don't forget to put your clocks forward tonight.

Christmas Tilda - well it is cold today!

Good Morning guys, as promised yesterday I'm back today with a card I made for FUN! Remember that's what this craftin' thing is all about! No DT deadlines, set images, themes to follow etc etc..... lol And it doesn't get much more fun, for me, than my lovely Magnolia stamps (maybe Saturated Canary is up there too)! So out came the old stamps that I still hadn't played with from years ago and this little cutie forced her way to the top of the pile!

This card has all my favourites on it! maybe a few too many on one card lol I can't decide, as much as I love this style, I'm not convinced I can actually do it!
I adore the curly embellishments from Kort et Godt  my lovely Jill sent me when I couldn't get them (I have since bought 4 more packets from Ribbon Girl) the little berries from Magnolia I have in every colour (I just can't bring myself to part with them normally) The La La Land heart banner (couldn't get it anywhere it was out of stock, so I sent to America for it like you do!) The gorgeous paper is from LOTV,  I've been dying to use it and I think the natural jute from Ribbon Girl goes perfectly with it and all my WOC flowers.

So there you have it, a card made for fun, my first this year and hopefully not my last as it was FUN making it!
I've decided to give up trying to get on a Magnolia DT or even GDT and just enjoy my Maggies!!

Thank you for your lovely comments,
blog friends are the best!

Merry Christmas @ Diva's

Ho Ho Ho lovely bloggers - not long to go now!
Hope you have all finished your Christmas shopping and wrapping and that everyone is getting in the Christmas spirit!

It's time for a brand new challenge at

DIVA'S BY DESIGN

and nice and easy its

Merry Christmas

Lol bet you've all got last minute cards to make! I know I have!!
Though I did make this one a while ago before my holidays
This is the beautiful Candy Canes rubber stamp from Saturated Canary. I bought this way back in October, so I think that's good for me to use it in the same year!
The papers are all a bit mixed as are the flowers but I do remember that I painted a star pin pink to match and the lovely Jill sent me those fabby little swirly things.

This challenge is going to run for 3 weeks to get over the Christmas holiday, head over to the main challenge blog for all the details about this and to check out the TWO fabulous sponsors who are covering the extended challenge. While you're there a look what my gorgeous Diva teammies have created for your inspiration.

If I haven't said this yet - Merry Christmas to everyone out there!

Let It Snow @ Oldie But A Goodie

Hello lovely people, I'm all in a tiz this week flying around here there and everywhere and I don't know if I'm coming or going!! I'm so behind and I have no chance of catching anything up this side of Christmas. Apart from a couple of cards I've made weeks ago and scheduled, I will be absent for a while. I have to apologise to all my DT blogs for not being around. It's all about to get even busier at the crack of dawn tomorrow when I head off to EuroDisney with my Son, via lunch in Paris, from there I get the train to Frankfurt then on to Eisenach on Friday evening to meet my Husband and friends. We fly home late Sunday evening then Monday morning I head off to Leicester overnight to get my Mums shopping and chores done before I get whisked off (and this is the part you all feel sorry for me) to Barbados!! OMG! I'm so excited though goodness knows when I'll get to fit in my Christmas shopping/wrapping/card writing etc.....

Enough excitement for now, its time to get on with the new challenge at

OLDIE BUT A GOODIE

and this week lovely Tracy is hosting with a theme of

Let It Snow

This is what I came up with
Now I know what you are all thinking....this is a fairly new image and I'm supposed to be using things at least 6 months old for this challenge - well I have, the paper is from last Christmas, and my Magnolia Pointsettia die I've had at least 1 year if not more and this is the first time I've used it!! Shame on me as I'm really loving that flower. It's all been glittered and curled using Aileens glitter snow that I got at the NEC, I glittered the Tim Holtz Snowflakes edger die cut too and they look fab in real life. This goes to show that you can all enter our fab challenge as long as something on your card is at least 6 months old and you tell us what it is!

Be sure to check out the main challenge blog for all the details and this week we have a fabulous new sponsor

while you're there check out the fabulous inspiration from the Goodie Girls.

Before I go I just want to share what was delivered
to me last Friday on my 29th wedding anniversary
29 gorgeous red roses!! Each year I get the relevant number, it's certainly making up for the early years when he was being a cheapskate!!
That's all from me today - I'm off to pack!!

Thanks for looking

Snowflakes @ Ladybugs Craft Ink

Ho Ho Ho it's getting close to that time of year and I have so many lovely things planned first!
This is scheduled because I'm away in London, as last night I was lucky enough to get tickets to go and see the Royal Variety Performance! I'll let you know with my next post how it was.

I'm back today with a new challenge at

LADYBUGS CRAFT INK

and this week the very lovely Diane has set us a theme of

Snowflakes

That was the easy bit! Queen Ladybug went and made it more of a challenge for us (no resting of our little ladybug wings for her team!) and sent us all a plastic box to alter for this challenge and boy did I find this a challenge!!

At first that was!! I got really into this after an awful lot of stressing.
I filled mine with candy canes that were just £1 from the local supermarket and trimmed it up to match the colours. I also stuck on lots of sparkly Nailheads that are available from LCI  HERE.
They come pre glued and I used my Kandi Kane to stick mine, don't look too close - I slipped twice and melted my box a bit!!

The boxes are also available at following sizes and price
4 1/8" x 4 1/16" x 1" - 45p each
5 5/8" x 5 1/2" x 1" - 60p each
4 7/8" x 6 5/8" x 1" - 60p each
6 1/8" x 6 1/16" x 1" - 70p each
4 1/2" x 5 7/8" x 1" -  60p each
These are the perfect size to fit standard size cards in if you wanted to use them as a gift box for a set of homemade notecards too!
Head over to the main challenge blog for lots of inspiration from the very talented bunch of girls and check out all the details of this weeks challenge while you're there.

Anything Goes @ Diva's

Good Morning everyone, it's not my teams week to play but as I have been playing with my Magnolia stamps for no other reason than I wanted to I thought I'd join in today with the DT makes at

DIVA'S BY DESIGN

for the fabulicious theme of

Anything Goes

Here is my card, I said I was going to make more cards I wanted to and not that I have to,
so I hope you like it! This is one of my favourite Tilda's EVER!
This is the yummy Tilda that caused all the fuss last year when she was only available very very limited. EVERYONE wanted her and she became priceless on Ebay, luckily Magnolia re issued her and that's when I got mine. Yes this is the first time she has seen the back of an inkpad!
The papers are Bo Bunny Snowfall from last Christmas too, the flowers are a mix of WOC and the Ribbon Girl.
Pop over to the main challenge blog for all the details of this challenge and some gorgeous inspiration from the Diva's.

I have just the thing! My lovely Tilda!
I really don't get to play with my Magnolia stamps anywhere near enough and I hope to change that starting from NOW!
When I was looking through my Magnolia stamps deciding which to use I was horrified to find out I hadn't used ANY of last Christmas's stamps yet!!
I've just bought a pile of this Christmas's too!
This is Tilda with a Holly Garland from last years release and watch this space for one of the new stamps ASAP!! The papers are also from last Christmas from Magnolia and most of the flowers are from WOC, the gorgeous white curly spirals were sent to me by my lovely talented friend Jill.
I LOVE THEM!!!
I'd been trying to get them everywhere and couldn't, then just after Jill sent them to me The Ribbon Girl got them in stock! I have no intention of running out now -  EVER!!

GDT @ Crafty Sentiments

Hello folks I'm here with a little extra post today as I was asked to GDT on some fabulous new release stamps at

Crafty Sentiments

the lovely Jo asked me and I jumped at the chance to play with this super new character
Jasmine with her Winter Skates.
Crafty Sentiments are having a mini new release of 9 new Christmas stamps over 10 days and they will all be available on the 11th of July. Isn't she fab?
The papers are Bo Bunny and I've used a mixture of dies lol, Magnolia snowflake, Marianne ice and Memory Box frosty border.

Keep your eyes peeled over at Crafty Sentiments for some more fantastic new release stamps in the coming week! And I will be back later in the week with another fabulous new stamp preview too!

Merry Christmas @ MAWTT

Ho Ho Ho Merry Christmas!
No I haven't gone mad (well actually that's another story cos I probably have!) we really are having Christmas in April, that's the royal we aka

MOVING ALONG WITH THE TIMES

and Hazel has chosen the theme

Christmas

lol I don't mind as it means I have started my Christmas cards!
Yes - a mini card! I think I will be making quite a few of these for Christmas this year, in fact I wish I'd made more than one of this one as I quite like it! Time is a bit short for me at the minute and mini cards aren't too taxing for me lol, not so much space to fill though they still take me more time than you'd believe!
The papers are quite old DCWV and my snowflake die is a Doo Hickey and the cute little image was given me to play with by this weeks fabulouso sponsor

I love Bugaboo, I never struggle with their images and can always churn out something I'll like! This is Winter Girlz, head over to the challenge blog to see what my fabby gorgeous team mates have made  for your inspiration and all the details of the challenge.

I had to have a filling at the dentist on Tuesday, I'm such a wuss and my dentist is amazing I never feel any pain, he says I never stop talking even with a mouthful of implements!

Thanks for stopping by today, I'm off to Leicester to visit my Mum for a couple of days and I'm taking her to visit her nephew at Birmingham on Friday.

Have a great weekend
