Let It Snow @ Oldie But A Goodie

Hello lovely people, I'm all in a tiz this week flying around here there and everywhere and I don't know if I'm coming or going!! I'm so behind and I have no chance of catching anything up this side of Christmas. Apart from a couple of cards I've made weeks ago and scheduled, I will be absent for a while. I have to apologise to all my DT blogs for not being around. It's all about to get even busier at the crack of dawn tomorrow when I head off to EuroDisney with my Son, via lunch in Paris, from there I get the train to Frankfurt then on to Eisenach on Friday evening to meet my Husband and friends. We fly home late Sunday evening then Monday morning I head off to Leicester overnight to get my Mums shopping and chores done before I get whisked off (and this is the part you all feel sorry for me) to Barbados!! OMG! I'm so excited though goodness knows when I'll get to fit in my Christmas shopping/wrapping/card writing etc.....

Enough excitement for now, its time to get on with the new challenge at

OLDIE BUT A GOODIE

and this week lovely Tracy is hosting with a theme of

Let It Snow

This is what I came up with
Now I know what you are all thinking....this is a fairly new image and I'm supposed to be using things at least 6 months old for this challenge - well I have, the paper is from last Christmas, and my Magnolia Pointsettia die I've had at least 1 year if not more and this is the first time I've used it!! Shame on me as I'm really loving that flower. It's all been glittered and curled using Aileens glitter snow that I got at the NEC, I glittered the Tim Holtz Snowflakes edger die cut too and they look fab in real life. This goes to show that you can all enter our fab challenge as long as something on your card is at least 6 months old and you tell us what it is!

Be sure to check out the main challenge blog for all the details and this week we have a fabulous new sponsor

while you're there check out the fabulous inspiration from the Goodie Girls.

Before I go I just want to share what was delivered
to me last Friday on my 29th wedding anniversary
29 gorgeous red roses!! Each year I get the relevant number, it's certainly making up for the early years when he was being a cheapskate!!
That's all from me today - I'm off to pack!!

Thanks for looking
Love 'n' Hugs Laurie xx

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges
though I may not be around much.
Midweek Magnolias - Dreaming of a White Christmas
Tilda's Town - Anything Goes

Moving Along With A Fairytale

Once upon a time in a land far away (encase you hadn't guessed I'm on holiday) there was a little blog called
it was a lovely little blog, it gave away fabulous prizes to really nice, clever people, and this blog had a Fairy Godmother called Hazel. Hazel liked
Fairytales
she wanted all the people in the surrounding lands to like fairytales, she wanted all the people to use fairytales as an inspiration to everything they made.

On this blog was a beautiful young (OK OK I'm using artistic licence here) girl called CinderLaurie, CinderLaurie made a card for the nice blog
Upon this card was all the things CinderLaurie dreamed of, oh where oh where could her Prince Charming Edwin be? Was he back in the land of Magnolia? She'd danced with him under the stars in the garden with the rolled roses and butterflies on the night of the Prima papers ball, when she'd lost her shoe running away as the clock struck 9pm and she didn't want to miss Downton Abbey.

CinderLaurie had sisters (oh God they are so gonna kill me for this!) who had made cards too, and all the people from the surrounding lands flocked to the little blog to look at their cards. Their cards were beautiful and they were beautiful too, no one is ugly in this fairytale ha!

There was a beautiful cloud, it was a
and this beautiful Crimson Cloud had a wonderful gift to give away to someone on the little blog, someone special.
And they all lived happily ever after.
The End.

Hope you liked my fairytale LOL
I'll be back from my hols next week and get around to catching up on all your blogs
Love 'n' Big Hugs Laurie xx

And as if by magic Cinderlauries Fairy godmother would like to enter the card into the following challenges ...

BOO!

Hello Peeps me again! Surprise surprise I'm back with a card I made for fun! Haven't had a lot of time for that lately what with work, I was struggling to keep up with my DT stuff but that's all changed now, I've made all next weeks DT cards so out came my beloved Magnolias to play!!

Please scroll down for my MAWTT DT post

I don't usually send Halloween cards so I wouldn't normally make one, but someone I know is Halloween mad so this card will be on its way to her by the end of the month, I'm sure she won't mind seeing it on here first!
I'm not sure what's happening to my photography skills lately but all the colours seem to be coming out wrong - this is much 'warmer' in real life than it looks here! I've obviously pressed something on my camera that I shouldn't have LOL!

The papers are mixed, one is Fancy Pants and the other Echo Park - both extremely lovely. The little bat is a sticker from Simply Shelly that has been kicking around my stash for years, I stuck in onto a piece of acetate and cut around it and the leaves are Cheery Lynn. The chipboard letters were already black so I didn't have to do much there. The ribbon is organza, I tried to wrap it round like a bandage and lovely Edwin was coloured with copics and distressed with TH Antique Linen

Thank you to everyone who reads my drivel and leaves the lovely comments I really do appreciate them, I know how much time it takes to leave them and actually make something!

Ahoy Me Hearty's

Hello lovely bloggers its a really really quick post from me as I should be at work!! I had a horrible day yesterday so I headed to my craft room to calm myself down last night and came up with this little card to share with you today.
I've been wanting to enter the TOMIC challenge since it started but never found the time to fit in the right card. I'd printed out this image to use as it's long been a favourite and when my new paper from Maja turned up this week as did my navy silk ribbon this card virtually made it's self!
My lovely teamie Debs taught me how to cut with nesties outside the frame as I'd been wanting to have ago and Edwins feet were the perfect opportunity!

I hope your having a lovely weekend wherever you are
Thank you for looking

Super Edwin!

Hello again, two posts in one day is a little rare for me but I really wanted to enter this card into the Just Magnolia challenge and today is the deadline. Please scroll down if you are looking for my MAWTT Design Team card.

Meet Super Edwin!
Isn't he just that - Super, he's from the new Magnolia Summer Kit and inspired by my lovely friend Jill, (who has made several cards with her summer kit already) I thought I should use a new stamp hot off the press!
I can't wait till my favourite shop Sir Stampalot get the whole collection in! I will first on the Pre Order List Janice!
The silver stars are nesties and a punch, though in this picture they aren't shining much. The words are all white rub ons and the 'SUPER' is cut using Fruit Smoothie alphabet from Sizzix

Thank you for looking and to those of you that comment it really makes my day

Totally Edwin

Good morning everyone I hope you are all well today, thank you for stopping by my little blog. Today I want to share with you a card I made for the Totally Tilda challenge 'How Does Your Garden Grow?' I wasn't sure if only Edwin was allowed so, to cover myself on that I added Tilda as a butterfly!

I have used my fabulous, favourite, fantastic 'Fairy Flora' paper pad from Prima (thats a bit of a tongue twister for a monday morning!) and I have distressed it to within an inch of its life to qualify for the challenge over at Magnolia Down Under. The colours on these papers are so lovely I'm only bringing myself to use it because I bought two pads! Bunny Zoes Craft challenge want to see 'Spring Flowers Everywhere' Magnolia-licious Highlites are having a brilliant Blog Hop involving Mini Tilda's & a Spring theme which you should all check out they have an amazing DT. All That Scraps Magnolia Challenge 'Birthday' theme is still on  (this is my 2nd & last entry)
7 Kids College Fund  theme of 'Squares' is still running and this is my entry No. 2 of the maximum 3.
I have used Edwin catching Butterflys and Love Fence Doo Hickey Die both from Magnolia, I painted the fence with Antique Linen Crackle Paint, the flowers are from Magnolia and Wild Orchid, the Butterfly is from Craft Essential and the image was coloured with Aqua Markers which I got from Joanna Sheen. It was the first time I have used them - I have a long way to go to master them!!

Thanks for looking especially to those of you that leave a comment and make my day!! I got 30 comments the other week and I was beside myself with joy!! Simple things - please simple minds!!
Love Laurie x x
