Use Vellum @ MAWTT

Good morning good people. Hope the weather is kinder to you than it has been here! Wind and rain non stop again, I wanted to be going out for a walk everyday but not in this weather, I'll end up back in hospital with pneumonia!

I'm back today with a new challenge over at

MOVING ALONG WITH THE TIMES

and this week Wendy L our Spanish crafter has chosen

Vellum or Parchment

Now this theme was a challenge for me but trying to photograph my card proved to be an even bigger challenge!! All I can say is I'm sorry, no way would it focus at all, I tried everything I know but all to no avail. I don't know if it was the vellum, or the fact the stamping direct onto it is very soft.

It's actually very pretty in real life but you will just have to take my word on that lol!!
I stamped my yummy new LOTV pushchair stamp direct onto the blue vellum with blue ink and just coloured in a little shading with a polychromo pencil. The Special Delivery is a rub on and I fixed the vellum onto a blue card with 2 eyelets just along one side. A bit of ribbon and twine with a cute teddy charm and Bob's your uncle that's it!
(Actually Bob is not my uncle - he's the builder that is finally starting work on my renovations any day now, it's only been 2 years since work was meant to start!!)

Head over to the main challenge blog for lots of gorgeous inspiration from my multi talented teammies and you can check if you were in the top 3 last week while you are there.

I'll be back tomorrow with a brand new little project for me that I will explain then.

Thanks for stopping by and for your lovely comments, a big hello to my new followers too (if you read this far down)

New Year, New Challenge!

Hello folks, a very Happy New Year to you all, I'm just hoping that this one will be better than last year lol, it wasn't my greatest!!
I've been a bit slap dash with my creating and blogging of late and I'm afraid that will continue for a a couple of weeks more then I hope to settle into normal services and some peace and quiet.
Today I've rushed around to make something for the new challenge at

'NEW'
theme to kick start the 'new' year!
It can be new baby, new job, new home or even new stash if you had some for Christmas, if that's the case don't forget to tell us what it was you used,

Here's my card for a new baby
A Teddy Bo image I've been meaning to use for ages and some gorgeous Echo Park papers which I can't resist buying when I know I've more paper than I could ever use in 10 lifetimes!!

Mid Challenge Reminder @ LCI

Good Morning Guys, I'm here today with a mid challenge reminder at

LADYBUGS CRAFT INK

our month long extravaganza continues to celebrate the arrival of Kerry's first Grandchild.
The theme of

Oh Baby!

will carry on through May so you have plenty of time to join us.
Kerry had an early new arrival of the uber cut Billie Bear digi stamp which we have all been using. I have to admit I didn't get time to play along at the release but I'm happy to report I have found some time to join in now!

At the time of me writing this we are waiting news of Baby McLeod's arrival, Nic went into labour yesterday and all the Ladybugs are super excited!
Back to my card, I was meant to be making a baby boy card, but I had a couple of those in my stock box and I wanted to have a 'Girl' one too to cover every angle!!
This is the cute Baby Billie's Blanket digi image and is available HERE.
Coloured with my favourite teddy bear Copic colours and trimmed up with the fabulous LaLa Land Heart Banner Die.

Head over to the main challenge Blog for all the details of the challenge, the prize on offer and some fantastic inspiration from the Ladybugs.
As a celebration treat Kerry is giving away this image to two people chosen at random who leave a comment on this post.

As soon as we have news of Baby I'll edit my post

That's all for now, thanks for stopping by today
and don't forget to comment - it could win you the image

Moving Along With A New Baby!

Hello folks, no don't panic I'm not expecting! It's just  a post title lol Though I have to say I love babies and I wish my kids would hurry up and have some!! I'm desperate to be a Granny, I know I know I'm far too young lol (I wish)

Well I'm back from my holiday in the sun and burnt to a crisp too, a lovely shade of peeling, red and brown with the odd bit of sun bleached hair thrown in for good measure!!  The temperatures were sky high and peaked at 42 degrees on the Saturday. It was really good to get away but I don't think I've managed to resolve my problems and I kind of wish I was still there!

I had this card all made ready and scheduled as today we have a brand new challenge at

MOVING ALONG WITH THE TIMES

and the lovley Marita is hosting her
first challenge with us and has chosen

Babies

Here is what I came up with
Using the image First Steps from our Sponsor this week

Don't you just love gingham on baby cards? To me they go hand in hand but then I like gingham! I did a bit of cutting with my nesties to create the frame and though it doesn't look like it in this picture, the ribbon does match! The sentiment is a rub on that I have had forever!

Head over to the main challenge blog for all the details of the challenge, the prize and some gorgeous inspiration from my teammies this week.

That's all from me, thank you for stopping by. I will get myself all sorted out and unpacked and holiday washing done then I'll be around to visit you all

Shape Up @ MAWTT

Good Morning folks its time for a brand new challenge at
and this week the lovely LEESA is in charge and she would like us all to
Shape Up!
Well I certainly need to but fortunately for now its just my card that has to!!
This is a commissioned card I made a while ago. After seeing the twins card I made for Jake (yes his Mum won the name game) and Ella, I was asked to make another twin card, this time for two boys and as I love that image I used last time so much I went with it again.
This time I cut my card shape using X Cut dies and embellished the whole thing (last time you may remember I left it CAS). I have to say I'm happy with both even though they are so different! The papers are DCWV and the 'precious' is from WRMK its a kind of chipboard sticker  but its a bit thicker. All my flowers are from WOC and my nylon butterfly is from a £1 shop. I added a little button shaped like a dummy in with the flowers, you can just see it poking out the bottom corner.

We have my favourite shop in the whole of blogland sponsoring us today

and the lovely Janice has donated this prize to the winner
Some lovely Christmas goodies.

Head over to the main challenge blog for all the details and some fabulous shapes from the gorgeous DT girls. This challenge will run for a fortnight to give everyone plenty of time during the school holidays.

This is the last of the cards that I had pre made before I got busy at work so I'm not sure what will happen now! It's really hot here and that means busy busy for us but I hope I can find a little time from somewhere during the last 3 weeks of our season!!

Thank you to everyone for sticking by me while I have been unable to visit you all, I can't wait to catch up with all my blog friends soon.

I'm Still Here!

Hello folks, bet you thought I'd forgot about you all! Lol
This working lark really interferes with your crafting life and I'm trying really hard to get ahead with my DT stuff so I don't have to miss any challenges while I'm busy at work.

I do however have a card I can post that I had to make for a new arrival recently.
This is the 3rd time I've used this digi stamp (the 2nd will be posted soon) So I'm guessing this is probably my most used stamp EVER!!
Isn't this the most cutest image from Mo Manning?
Coloured with Copics and shapes cut with Nesties its also the most simplist card ever made.

Right have to dash!
Sorry for my infrequent visits to you all, normal services will resume in September!

DON'T FORGET TO ENTER MY CANDY

Celebrate @ MAWTT

Hello again I'm back again for the last of my 3 days in a row posts.
And this time its

MOVING ALONG WITH THE TIMES

and our lovely new girl on the block KIM is hosting and we have a fabulous theme of

Celebrate Anything But Birthdays

How cool is that! Weddings, New Home, Anniversary etc.
Great idea Kim and I had the perfect card I needed to make
I am getting a bit ahead of myself here as these lovely little twins aren't born yet and Mum & Dad are still arguing about the little boys name! I just assuming that Mum will win that argument or I'll be taking this to pieces to change Jakes name to Mason!
I'm still in my Mo Manning phase and I love love love this cute little image. I've just flipped it around to face itself and kept my card really simple as I wanted that image to be the focal point.

This really takes me back as I had twins 23 years ago next month! Just like these, a boy and a girl and we already had an 18 month old little boy at home - the next 5 years were a blur!!

Head over to the main MAWTT challnenge blog for all the details of this weeks challenge and some fabulous inspiration from my lovely teammies.

We are sponsored this week for the very last time by
http://www.craftyemmasstore.co.uk/

As you probably know Emma is closing her shop which means there are some fabulous bargains to be had and the £10 voucher for the winner will go a lot further!!

A quick update from China: My daughter Raegan is still having a fantastic time and has just had a 24 hour train journey (I'm guessing that wasn't so fantastic!) She said everyone is so friendly and children run to speak to her as they don't see many westerners. 2 school girls came rushing in the hostel to ask her lots of questions like what was her favourite pet and what was her wish? one of them said that her wish was to be a Dr and live in England.
Raegan said she now knows what it feels like to be a Z list celebrity!

Thanks for stopping by today, have a fabulous weekend and anyone going to the coast enjoy, I'm at Hunstanton if you're passing!

A very good morning my lovely blog friends. It's Thursday (already) and that means it's time for a new challenge at
and this week it's Moi hosting and I would like your creations to be
AS CUTE AS A BUTTON!

So that means I'd like to see a button on your work somewhere please and keep it cute!

I don't think it gets much cuter than this gorgeous little Baby Peapod from this weeks sponsor

http://www.stampfairy.com/

Yes it's another mini round card but I can't help it! The fabby star buttons have been in my stash for years and I'm making this big effort to use stuff that I keep hoarding (I'll regret it when I can't replace it) lol The letters were cut out with a Quickutz die

Head over to the main challenge blog for all the details of this challenge and don't forget to check out the fabby cute  makes from the rest of the DT.
If you would like to join us at MAWTT you still have time to apply to the DT call.

A very good morning to all my blog friends out there, I hope today finds you all well and happy! I want to shout from the rooftops -
I ACTUALLY FEEL BETTER! YEAH at last!
And I had a fabulous day yesterday I got 2 top 3 spots in one day, Creative Inspirations and My Mums Craft Shop it really made my day it did! lol

Thursday can only mean one thing....
It's time for another challenge over at
and this week my bestest blogging buddy Lisa is the hostess with the mostest and she has given us a fabulous theme
'Bloomin Marvellous'

I saw this design in a magazine (I'm sorry I don't know which one because I ripped the page out to keep) and I had to have a go myself. The image is a fabulicious Stampin' Bella I think this one is called Babycarriageabella. The shapes were all cut with nesties (some of them grand) the flowers are a mix of Prima and punched, lots of brads and ribbon from my stash and little alphabet stickers.
I'm quite happy with this - blooming in every sense with that image!

Good Morning lovely blog friends, it's starting to get a bit more exciting now we've hit the 1st of December! Don't forget to open the first window on your chocolate advents! LOL I have so much to do for Christmas but I'd still rather be playing in my craft room!

I have a couple of new followers this week that I'd like to say Hello to, thank you so much for tagging along you really make my day.

As its Thursday its time for a fabulous new challenge at

Wow did we have some gorgeous entries last week, pop over to the main challenge blog for the winner and the lovely Debs Top 3

We have our lovely regular sponsor the fabulous

Head over to the main challenge blog for all the details of this weeks prize on offer to the winner.

I thought I'd have a change from Christmas cards, but I soon have to get back to them as I don't have anywhere near enough!
I've used one of my many Stampin Bella images that I have had for years. I've kept it all really simple, plain card in 3 colours, the sentiment in printed on the ribbon that has also been in my stash for a while, the white panel is embossed with hearts, I think its cuttlebug but I could be wrong! The die cut border is Magnolia, I know its pink but its still Magnolia LOL

I hope you will all get time to join in our little challenge this week, please pop over to see the gorgeous inspiration from the rest of the DT. All that's left for me to do is thank you all for stopping by today

It's A Baby!! at LCI

Good Morning blogland, I hope all is well in your little corner of the world. Not long now before I head off in search of sunnier climes. I'm so busy trying to get all my DT work done before I go, I don't want to let any of my challenges down - even though I won't be around to comment.

Its Totally Ladybug Tuesday time again and that means a fab new challenge at
and this week we have a super theme set by the lovely Tams
Babies
I've been itching to ink up this gorgeous Nikki stamp
I had a pram like this for my eldest son, it was great, so much better for the babies as they have lots of room, I had twins next and I remember putting them both in the pram while I was waiting for my twin pram to arrive, seems like 5 minutes ago not 23 years!!
Anyway, back from my trip down memory lane and back to my card - I followed a fab sketch by our very own Mary J for Quixotic Inspirations and the papers I used were free in a magazine ages ago I'm sorry I can't remember what they are called.
You don't have to use an LCI image to join in but we love it when you do, and with images this gorgeous how could you not want to!
Head over to the main TLT blog for lots of gorgeous inspiration from the super talented DT and for all the details of this weeks challenge and last weeks winners.
And I just want to remind you there's just a few days left to get the October Stamp of the Month at Half Price this week - Nikki Running With Buttercup

I'm a great 'Great Great Aunt!!

Good morning blogland, surprise surprise it has just stopped raining and I can see the chink of a big yellow thing in the sky! Can't remember what its called.
It's official now I am a 'Great Great Aunt' so I thought I had better make a special card to celebrate this event. Those that know me will know I'm desperate to become a Grandma and now my husbands younger sister has become a Great Grandma!!  Baby Kayden (yes that's how his mother is spelling it!) weighed in at 7lb 12oz a few days ago, I have yet to meet him.
I love White on White cards I think they are perfect for baby or weddings and I hope to make a few for Christmas this year too.
This card includes all my favourite ingredients, WOW, Magnolia image, feathers, Doo Hickey swirl die and my swiss dots embossing folder. I've just realised while I'm typing this I forgot to add any shading under the image so I'm now going to do that but I don't have time to re take the photo!
I added the baby's name a la Pinky (nobody does that better than her!) and hopefully I haven't put too much on, it's very difficult to know when to stop with embellishments!!

Thank you all for taking the time to visit my blog, don't forget to enter my Birthday candy, you have until the end of the month. I'd like to thank all those that have left comments wishing me a happy birthday and welcome my new followers, I will get around to visiting you, August is a manic month at work for us.
I hope you all have a great and dry weekend

Moving Along With Brand Spanking New

Good Morning lovely bloggers I hope the sun is shining on you today, it certainly hasn't been here! I'd like to say Hello to my new followers, I've been a really bad blogger at visiting you all but I will try harder in the future! I'm really excited today as I made the Top 3 over at Magnolia Mania and those of you that know me will know how much I love my little Magnolia stamps!

It's Thursday already which means new challenge time at
I'd like to thank everyone who entered last week we had some very cute and cuddly cards. Don't forget to visit the main challenge blog to see if you were a winner.

This week my lovely teamie Pami is hosting and she has chosen a theme of
'Brand Spanking New'
This could be a 'New Baby' a 'New Job' a 'New Home'

We are sponsored this week by
The prize is a £10 Voucher to spend in store and with lots of new stock arriving there's plenty to spend it on

I chose to make a New Baby card as I actually need two of these, one baby is already here (Hello Henry James) and one has a couple of weeks to go, can you believe I'm going to be a 'Great Great Aunt'!! I'm not old enough!!
This is Bentley, isn't he Fab! I love this sentiment it makes me laugh every time I see it lol He is from Bugaboo, who have some really funny images to choose from. I've kept this really simple as it's for a boy, a nice plain ribbon and three little buttons ooh and I cut the big scallop edge with my new Die Namics Die, I love it...I first saw it on Mary J's blog. I've even done the inside of this card which I always mean to but hardly ever get around to!

I hope you all get time to play along with us this week, be sure to check out the fabulous makes from the very talented DT on the main blog page.

Thanks for looking and to those of you that do, for your comments
