Use Vellum @ MAWTT

Good morning good people. Hope the weather is kinder to you than it has been here! Wind and rain non stop again, I wanted to be going out for a walk everyday but not in this weather, I'll end up back in hospital with pneumonia!

I'm back today with a new challenge over at

MOVING ALONG WITH THE TIMES

and this week Wendy L our Spanish crafter has chosen

Vellum or Parchment

Now this theme was a challenge for me but trying to photograph my card proved to be an even bigger challenge!! All I can say is I'm sorry, no way would it focus at all, I tried everything I know but all to no avail. I don't know if it was the vellum, or the fact the stamping direct onto it is very soft.

It's actually very pretty in real life but you will just have to take my word on that lol!!
I stamped my yummy new LOTV pushchair stamp direct onto the blue vellum with blue ink and just coloured in a little shading with a polychromo pencil. The Special Delivery is a rub on and I fixed the vellum onto a blue card with 2 eyelets just along one side. A bit of ribbon and twine with a cute teddy charm and Bob's your uncle that's it!
(Actually Bob is not my uncle - he's the builder that is finally starting work on my renovations any day now, it's only been 2 years since work was meant to start!!)

Head over to the main challenge blog for lots of gorgeous inspiration from my multi talented teammies and you can check if you were in the top 3 last week while you are there.

I'll be back tomorrow with a brand new little project for me that I will explain then.

Thanks for stopping by and for your lovely comments, a big hello to my new followers too (if you read this far down)

Love 'n Hugs Laurie xx

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges....

Oh Laurie, this does look like a gorgeous card, I'm sure the photograph doesn't do it justice as it's such a clever idea. Really love it. Rubbish weather here too, although it's brighter today. Hope Bob appears for you and if he knows a good plumber, send him north. We have a bathroom leak in Alan's flat and so far I'm the fixer-upper! Jx

Gorgeous card Laurie... I love how you've stamped directly onto the vellum.. but realise how it's so difficult to photograph!

If you pop over to ITP today, you may just get a nice surprise!

My cards are always better I.R.L. then the photograph that I manage to take. They are fine on my camera viewer but by the time they are transferred through the editing program and are viewed on here they look rubbish. Vellum is a pig of a product to take a picture of. The things that have photo'ed well looks gorgeous.

See you tomorrow. Shh!!

Ooh this is gorgeous Laurie… I had no idea that you could do all these things with vellum… the image and sentiment look fab! its really annoying when the photographs don't show a card off to it's full glory… it looks stunning here... but I can imagine it looks even nicer in real life!! ;-)
I love the way you've done the ribbon and twine and the teddy charm is oh so cute!! :-)
Hope the renovations go well hun
