It's TLT time over at
but first I would like to thank everyone who played along with my Winter Blues challenge last week, it was my first time hosting and I was relieved that lots of you wanted to play along with me!! Head over to the main challenge blog to see if you were amongst the Winner or top 3 and also Queen Kerry was looking for some Guest Designers and in the immortal words of Ant & Dec "It Might Be You"

This weeks challenge was chosen my lovely friend Pam and its a favourite of mine
White on White
WOW cards always look totally stunning and I can't wait to see what you all come up with

I've gone right outside my comfort zone with this one LOL  I usually only make square cards but with all that creativity out there (and equipment in my craft room) I was inspired by our very own Lisa who manages to create something totally original every time!!
I've used the fabulous 'Nikki & Buttercup Building A Snowman' and if you didn't get yours yet - hurry up - you only have until tomorrow to get this baby at HALF PRICE. Honestly at half price its worth putting by till next Christmas or better still a fabulous present for someone!
The lamp post, tree and snowflake dies are all Magnolia and the other shapes are nesties so now I've used my Grand Calibur twice it's obviously an essential to any craft room!!
Head over to the LCI blog for lots of gorgeous inspiration from the Ladybugs and for all the details of this weeks challenge. Remember you don't have to use an LCI image to play along but we love it when you do!

Thank you for visiting

The First 100

Well folks summer is over with a bang by the looks of it out my window! Unfortunately I'm still not cold - bloody hot flushes will be the death of me!

Just a really quick post from me today as I'm driving to Leicester to visit my Mum again this morning, so if I'm not about its because my Mother has no Internet!!
I wanted to show you the first 100 wedding invitations that I made for my nephew's wedding, they were collected last week and are being sent out at the moment. I still have another 50 to finish but fortunately for me the bride to be has said she thinks she'll only need another 35 - phew!

For anybody out there who is thinking of making wedding invites - THINK AGAIN!!!!!

I changed them a little from the original one I made - hopefully for the better
I'm really pleased with how they turned out, very pretty and delicate
You wouldn't believe how much plain white paper and glue was used in the making of these LOL and thanks to Lisa and Pam for helping when they were here. Lisa cut out all the images and glittered them while Pam and I were colouring them.
I had a bit of a production line set up with making the boxes, my son, his girlfriend and my daughter all had a huge part in that while I was glueing on all the flowers and swirls.
This picture shows all 100 on my kitchen table and the box lids which were separate while the glue dried. The reply card and night before invite were just printed out in pink on white card and I rounded off the corners. I didn't think to take a picture of them but I will of the others when I've finished them.

I know he probably doesn't read this blog but just encase I want to wish my eldest son Jordan a very Happy Birthday - 24 today xx

The fab new challenge this week is hosted by the lovely
Julie and she set us the task of
NO DESIGN PAPERS
Perfect for a bit of embossing to come into play and with this gorgeous stamp it was ideal to use the snow folder from Cuttlebug. I've gone a bit mad with the glitter but you can't tell from this picture! The sentiment is sticky letters just stuck onto some organza ribbon and my cute snowflakes are a Doo Hickey Die.

Head over to the main challenge blog for all the details of this weeks challenge and to see what the very talented DT girls have done with Nikki. This super stamp could soon be yours!

I'm a great 'Great Great Aunt!!

Good morning blogland, surprise surprise it has just stopped raining and I can see the chink of a big yellow thing in the sky! Can't remember what its called.
It's official now I am a 'Great Great Aunt' so I thought I had better make a special card to celebrate this event. Those that know me will know I'm desperate to become a Grandma and now my husbands younger sister has become a Great Grandma!!  Baby Kayden (yes that's how his mother is spelling it!) weighed in at 7lb 12oz a few days ago, I have yet to meet him.
I love White on White cards I think they are perfect for baby or weddings and I hope to make a few for Christmas this year too.
This card includes all my favourite ingredients, WOW, Magnolia image, feathers, Doo Hickey swirl die and my swiss dots embossing folder. I've just realised while I'm typing this I forgot to add any shading under the image so I'm now going to do that but I don't have time to re take the photo!
I added the baby's name a la Pinky (nobody does that better than her!) and hopefully I haven't put too much on, it's very difficult to know when to stop with embellishments!!

Thank you all for taking the time to visit my blog, don't forget to enter my Birthday candy, you have until the end of the month. I'd like to thank all those that have left comments wishing me a happy birthday and welcome my new followers, I will get around to visiting you, August is a manic month at work for us.
I hope you all have a great and dry weekend

Love 'n' Hugs Laurie
