Cute As A Button @ MAWTT

A very good morning my lovely blog friends. It's Thursday (already) and that means it's time for a new challenge at
and this week it's Moi hosting and I would like your creations to be
AS CUTE AS A BUTTON!

So that means I'd like to see a button on your work somewhere please and keep it cute!

I don't think it gets much cuter than this gorgeous little Baby Peapod from this weeks sponsor

http://www.stampfairy.com/

Yes it's another mini round card but I can't help it! The fabby star buttons have been in my stash for years and I'm making this big effort to use stuff that I keep hoarding (I'll regret it when I can't replace it) lol The letters were cut out with a Quickutz die

Head over to the main challenge blog for all the details of this challenge and don't forget to check out the fabby cute  makes from the rest of the DT.
If you would like to join us at MAWTT you still have time to apply to the DT call.

That's all from me today, thank you to everyone who visits

Love 'n' Hugs Laurie xx

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Crafty Creations - Stripes
The Paper Shelter - Anything Goes
Tuesday Throwdown - New Life

Let's Play Bingo @ LCI

Good morning again I'm back with my 2nd DT post of the morning.

IF YOU ARE LOOKING  FOR MY OLDIE BUT A GOODIE
POST PLEASE SCROLL DOWN

It's TLT time over at
and we are all getting in the party mood ready for Christmas.
The lovely Sue has decided we should be playing party games and has given us a game of
'BINGO'
We all chose our favourite embellishment and picked a square (Brilliant idea Sue) and this is what you have to play with
Pick a line, up, down or diagonal (from corner to corner) or if you want to show off (no names mentioned here lol but check out the challenge blog!) go for a full house! Be sure to let us know in your post which line you have chosen.

I've gone across the bottom with Buttons, Die Cuts & Pearls
And I've used one of my favourite LCI stamps Jack & Robyn 'Gotcha' available HERE
My papers are from an Echo Park Spots & Stripes Christmas 6x6 pad and I've finally got to use one of my new Memory Box dies. It's all glittered and blinged up but you can't see from this picture! The snowflake brads are from Sir Stampalot, I couldn't resist calling in on my way through the other day. When I was searching for a Christmas Animal stamp (for my other DT post today) I found 3 packs of these Christmas messages that I'd forgotten I had! As most of my cards have been made now I thought I ought to use one! The tiny buttons are Papermania.

I hope you can find time to join us for this challenge, the Ladybugs are resting their wings over Christmas so this will run till the 2nd of January. Remember you don't have to use an LCI stamp to join in but we love it when you do.
Head over to the main challenge blog for all the details and while you're there check to see if you made the top 3 or won last week and don't forget to see what the Ladybugs made for your inspiration and leave them some Ladybug love.

That's all from me for today, don't forget if you didn't get your Stamp Of The Month at half price last week there's still time HERE
Thank you for taking the time to visit
Love 'n' Hugs Laurie x

Buttons & Bows @ Oldie But A Goodie

Good Morning blog lovers, time for a brand new challenge at
where you can all use your favourite stamps as long as they are at least 6 months old! I love this challenge, I have so many stamps that I've never got around to using or only used once - I think I could stay on this DT forever!!!

This week our lovely Lisa is hosting for me ( I swapped with her) and we want to see some
Buttons and Bows
Nice and easy, we all love to use buttons and I rarely make a card without a ribbon these days!
How much do you love this little man? I just want to pick him up LOL. You can tell it's a long time since mine where this age - I'm desperate for Grandchildren! This little guy is Toby and he is from Mo Manning (rubber not digi - no breaking the rules). My fabulous papers are Making Memories and are amongst the first I bought years ago - since then a small Forest has been sacrificed to fill my craft room!
We have a fabulous sponsor this week
Head over to the main challenge blog for all the details of this fab challenge and to check out the very talented DT makes for your inspiration.

Thank you stopping by my blog this morning, I'll be back later with my 2nd post of the day

Moving Along With Hazels Sketch

Good Morning bloggers,  albeit blustery and blowy it's perfect weather for my hot flushes lol! The wind is cooling me down nicely thank you very much.

Its Thursday already and time for a new challenge over at

What an amazing lot of entries we had last week, there were some fantastic ideas for handmade flowers that I can't wait to try out. Head over to the main challenge blog to see if you were a winner or top 3.

This week our Head Mover Alonger Hazel has provided us with a super sketch to follow
and we have a fab sponsor this week, the megalicious
They have an amazing selection of goodies on offer and even better a fab sale on too.
Check out the main challenge blog for all the details of this weeks prize and for some fabulous inspiration from my super talented team mates.
For my card I've used one of my many (unused) Stampin Bella images that I loved so much when I bought them, and still do! So many stamps, so little time! I thought this would be great as a Passing Your Driving Test card.
The arrows were cut from a cuttlebug die, the ovals from a nestie and the flowers from little punches.
I like to mix it up a little and not make all my cards with 3D flowers now and again. The sentiment is SU.

Thanks for looking and to those that do, for the lovely comments

Love 'n' Hugs Laurie xx

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:
Creative Card Crew - Anything Goes
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
Crafty Creations - Anything But A Square

Jack & Oliver

Good morning my lovely blogging friends, I hope you all enjoyed the lovely weather we had, it seems like we have skipped a season and gone straight into winter here! I'm not sure what happened, it was hot and sunny most of last week and I blinked and now its so windy, wet and cold I can't believe it! At least I can catch up on my sleep!

It's time for another challenge for me at
Before I go into this weeks challenge I'd like to thank everyone who entered last time, you certainly are a talented bunch. Check the main blog to see if you were a winner.

Her theme this week is
The Great Outdoors

1 Tilda & a Bunch of Challenges

Hello my lovely bloggers I hope you are all well. Thank you for dropping by my little corner of cyber space and thank you also for the lovely comments you have been leaving.
Today I want to share with you one of my beloved little Tilda's, you will be surprised to hear that I HAVE used this one before (not all of my stamps are unused - just most of them!) Somehow I have managed to combine 3 Magnolia challenges in 1 card! I just couldn't get Totally Tilda in there too!!

I have used the lovely Mina's sketch over at Just Magnolia as a starting block, and what a great sketch to start with!  Magnolia Down Under are looking for 'Flower Power' and I have taken them literally with my 60's inspired Flower Power Tilda and Hippie Chick paper from DCWV. Magnolia Stamp Lovers want to see 'Buttons & Bling'. Simon Says Stamp have a 'Recipe' of 1 image, 2 patterned papers & 3 different types of embellishments. Stamp Something want to see 'Something with Flowers' and a brand new challenge blog Bling It On have 'Anything Goes' as their debut challenge

The little flowers are from Prima and all the buttons, ribbon and gems are from my stash.
Thank you for looking and I hope you like what you see and that you come back and visit me again 1 day soon

Lili's Little Man

Hello again and thank you for visiting me. Today I want to share with you my card for the Lili Of The Valley Challenge which has a theme of 'Favourite Colours' I'm so far behind I didn't think I was going to catch up in time to enter this week!
Those of you who have been here before will recognise my favourite paper - Making Memories Cosmopolitian (I have both combinations, blue & brown and pink & brown) and I love both equally!

This little man is soooooo cute, he reminds me of when we first took our son to play rugby on Sunday mornings over 18 years ago.
Fab n Funky have a 'Recipe' theme this week of 1 image, 2 embellishments (buttons & twine) and 3 papers, and Simon Says Stamps are asking for 'Coffee & Cream'. Cute Card Thursday want to see 'Shiny, Happy Cards' and I hope my buttons are shiny enough for them! A Spoonfull Of Sugar are celebrating 'Birthday Wishes' and Crafty Catz are looking for 'One For The Men' I hope that includes little men!!

The image and sentiment are LOTV, papers as I said above Making Memories, Twine is from Wild Orchid Crafts and buttons are from stash.

Thanks again for looking Love 'n' Hugs Laurie x

A Challenge For Myself

Hello again, welcome and thank you for visiting. I'm getting the hang of this blogging malarkey now and I'm absolutely loving it! Even if nobody reads my drivel I'm happy posting it!
I decided that I needed to challenge myself and the hardest thing for me is making male cards (OK I made it easier by making a mini man card, but technically boys will be men eventually!) It's really hard to get texture on a card for a man, ribbons, bows, gems and flowers just don't cut it, buttons is our only saving grace. These stars were from an old Christmas garland that was gonna get thrown out, but me being a hoarder, 'nothing ' actually gets thrown out!
I'm really pleased with how this has turned out, the stars, buttons & pop up aliens I stamped and cut out have given it what I think is usually missing from my cards for men or boys.
Originally I didn't create this card for any challenges, just me, but I came across Anyone For Anya after I'd made it. I'm not sure if it fits their criteria of '2 Images' but I have nothing to lose by trying. I love the Anya images and enjoyed making it. This was the first time I have used this stamp ( Oldie But A Goodie have got me in the habit of dusting off all my great but tucked away stamps)
I was also pointed in the direction of the Allsorts Challenge by my buddy Lisa who have a theme of 'Saving Nature' this week and my stars qualify for that.
The paper for this card is from Prima's 'Spaceboy' 6 x 6 pad and I love it, the stamp as I said is an Anya from The Greetings Farm everything else is from my stash.
Thanks for stopping by x
