Cool Britannia @ MAWTT

Hello again my lovely friends, I'm back with a fab new challenge at

MOVING ALONG WITH THE TIMES

and this week it's little old me who has been given control lol!
Talk about lunatics running the asylum!
With all that's happening across the country I couldn't have any other theme than

Cool Britannia

a little bit of RED, WHITE & BLUE

No I haven't gone mad! I know the Diamond Jubilee is 60 years not 50 but this card is for a 50th birthday - hence my 50! a quick peek inside will silence my critics lol
Lisa I hope you can see I used my Cricut to cut out that sentiment! the name is in chipboard that I painted with my Dabbers and the fabulous papers are Tour of London from Nitwit. This was my first digi paper purchase and I fear it may not be the last!!! I printed the inside at 25% to get a light opaque look - I think it works!  I finally used my doo Hickey pennant die and I love it so much prepare to get sick of it!
Coloured in Copics is the super duper image from this weeks sponsor

Digi my world has just had a total blog-over and the new look is FAB!!!
Go check it out and see for yourself and all the gorgeous new images.

All the details of this weeks challenge can be found at the main challenge blog page along with some fabulouso patriotic inspiration from my lovely Teammies

Our head Honcho at MAWTT has a birthday today so
HAPPY BIRTHDAY HAZEL
my card is in the post!!
and also another DT Buddy has a birthday today
HAPPY BIRTHDAY FRANCESCA too!

China update: Raegan actually rang me on Sunday morning so that was lovely to speak to her, she is still having a fabulous time and said 'Clubbing China style; was hilarious! 8 of them from the hostel went and she said she had never seen anything so funny??
The next day she hired a bike for £1 and explored all around. She'd visited her first temple and is now heading for Shangri-La.

That's all from me, I have a busy weekend workwise as it's a long bank holiday so please forgive me if I don't get around to visiting you, I will as soon as I can!
Whatever you are doing I hope you have a great time

Love 'n' Hugs Laurie xx

Well, what a cracker of a card, it is stunning. Fabulous image, best I have seen in the British theme, Penny Black eat your heart out!
Bet it was really nice for you to actually speak to your Daughter, I can't say that I was too chuffed to speak to mine last night, as she woke us up and then decided that she couldn't hear us properly so said bye, just dropped off when she rang again to see if it was any better, I wouldn't care but she is 40 in August, so you'd think she was old enough to work out the time difference between us and Sydney.

Hi Laurie, ooooh fabby card! Love the images and your bunting is brilliant (ummm wondering now if I could treat myself to that die for my birthday - only 2 months to wait!!).

Perfect colouring as well.

Sarah

PS - Sounds like your daughter is really enjoying herself. I don't know why (maybe it's song related?) But I always think of Shangri-La as some mythical paradise and forget there's actually a real place. I really am going totally ga-ga!!!
