Lace, Pins & Pearls @ Oldie But Goodie

Hello my lovely friends I think I'm back proper from now on, but things are still a little hectic here. My daughter is home from hospital after her operation and although in pain she is on the mend. The usual family crisis's reign supreme but I guess it keeps us all on our toes!

Today is the start of a brand new challenge a

OLDIE BUT A GOODIE

and my lovely friend Debs has chosen the theme

Lace, Pins & Pearls

It took a while to kick start my crafting as I haven't really made anything since November before I went to Euro Disney, Germany and then Barbados! It may take a few weeks to get back in the swing of things, but here is my first attempt!

Its always a pleasure to colour in the gorgeous images from Saturated Canary and Violet Vintage
was no exception - I just love her! She is my latest SC stamp - I want them all!
The papers are Basic Grey Little Black Dress and I coloured my roses in black using copics, those and the others are from WOC, the glass and metal flowers and the pins were bought from the NEC the first time I went about 3 years ago so they will be my 'Old' item. The black lace and black velvet ribbon have also been in my stash for ages.
Remember to tell us what you have used
that is over 6 months old in your post.
Pop over to the main challenge blog for all the details and some devine inspiration from my teammies. Sadly Lisa and Tracy have moved on to pastures new but I will still visit them often!

That's it from me today, thank you for sticking with me while I was absent, its great to be back

Love 'n' Hugs Laurie xx

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:
Saturated Canary - Inspired By A Song
(because I have used black lace I can't stop singing 'Agadoo'!)
Ooh La La - Happy Birthday
Simon Says Stamp & Show - Embrace the Old
Songbird Challenge - Paint it Black
Basic Grey - Anything Goes
Crafty Catz - Anything Goes
Totally Gorjuss - Anything Goes with Ribbon
MMCS - Anything Goes
Simon Says Stamp - Something New

Happy New year Laurie I think I'm about as behind things as you are lol - never a dull moment in your house - I hope your daughter recovers quickly, what a start to the new year. I'm making th most of my last few days off then the year starts with a bang - back to work to see if they've sorted some training out for me and on my days off I've got a baby to look after because my daughter goes back to work next week after 14 months off - I'll have him making cards in no time lol
I love this card black is always stunning when it's done right and you have definitely done it right - I haven't been to SC for ages - just as well it saves me money have a great week hugs Judith x

Oh dear me, poor you, can't stop singing Agadoo, that must be the worst of your problems, anything else would be a breeze!
Fabulous card, love the black and a slight giggle at the glasses, Dierdrie Barlow or what and I used to have something similar, so my girls keep reminding me.
So envious of the flower display.
